Was hoping others could share their opinion of this show at it's currently location. I've seen reviews, mainly for it's previous showroom, but very little currently. Got a great deal for two GA tickets through travelzoo.com for $40 total - no taxes or fees. The same price through the RIVIERA website would have been $153.20. That seems to have muddled what I can expect, so any experiences would be appreciated.

I haven't heard anything on it Sam...hell, I can't even remember the last time
I was in the RIV ??? It's been a long, long time.
I've pretty much lost my attraction for illusion Shows. You really gotta WOW me
with something fresh and entertaining and I don't see it out there at any of the
STRIP property Shows. It would be great to have a real good one in town again!
(hope you have some shirts on your Christmas list there buddy....LOL!)

Well, the plan is to see it on Dec 16th, then I'll report back. BTW, shirts are highly over-rated. All that packing, laundering, ironing, etc. Beh! :ssst:

I'm a magic nut, and I love the show. I've seen David Copperfield, Steve Wyrick, the Japanese show at PH, local magic shows, and Jan Rouven is one of the best. He's humourous and great execution. Check out also halfpriceshows.com as we got tickets from there.

Thanks for the info! I actually got my tickets already. Highly doubt you can beat the $20 price through travelzoo.com

Really enjoyed this show. Jan had a fun, quirky personality, the illusions were on a pretty grand scale, the dancers were top-notch and attractive, and I liked the atmosphere of the Starlite Showroom. Riviera was pretty cleaned up and the casino was livelier than I expected. Worth a visit, I'd say. Reminded me of the better days of the Sahara.

I saw him when he was doing the Fremont St. thing. I was impressed enough I went back hourly. I agree about the Riv. I have stopped in there on my last 2 trips and played pinball, and thought it had a good feel to it. Hopefully they can ride out the bad economy and bounce back. Although I dont like staying on the strip, I might even consider staying there in the future.

was also surprised how nice the rooms are at the riviera.

got a good offer so stayed there for a few days in september in the monaco tower.
    would definitely stay there again.
