    Hi,

Visiting from the uk and would like to pick up some gifts from the outlets. What one is best to go to? Would like a range of clothes, electrical things and bags/jewellery.

    Thanks

My wife likes the Premium Outlet near downtown better than the one south on the Strip.

From this page http://www.premiumoutlets.com/centers/index.asp you can link to the two malls CIrvine is referencing.

I've only been to the North one, and my daughter likes it. I'm more of a bag carrier/ bank, myself. There was not a lot in the electronics line, though. I enjoyed the asian restaurant.

I would advise signing up for the VIP club. There is a booth there, near where the cabs marshall (if I remember correctly) where you can get a number of coupons for additional savings. It is free to join.

If you will have a car, there is a nice mall in Primm. It's about 45 miles south of the strip, connected to Primm Valley casino.

Both of the outlet malls are worth visiting, as well as the one in Primm if you're that way.

    Fry's for electronics! :)

Well, seing as the subject came up, the Primm outlets are available as well. For me, the Bally outlet was a big sell, as was the opportunity to buy a lottery ticket from California within walking distance.

A dirty place with a long amount of travel time involved, otherwise.

Grand Central and Bonneville. Just east of the expressway.

I have two teen daughters and now consider myself an expert on all three outlets.

1, North - Very nice outdoor outlet mall and newest of the three, very clean. Just a few blocks Southwest of downtown too:

    http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=58

2, South - Not quite as nice but still okay, it is also indoor if the weather is not good. There is a nice western wear store just Northwest of the outlet mall, if you are interested. However, you will need a car to get there, it's not within walking distance.

3, Primm - Another indoor mall, nice and clean. However, it is a good haul South of Las Vegas and you really should only make the trip if you would like to see Primm or if this one has the ONE shop you just have to see. WARNING - We made the trek to Primm because it supposedly had a Betsy Johnson store (no longer there) even though it was listed. If you are going for that one shop, make sure to call ahead.

    Best Outlet Mall is Downtown

    Las Vegas Premium Outlets North.

Lots of stores & good deals to be had for shopping.
They have a nice parking garage next to Iron Horse drive w/Security,
    or a ez taxi ride.

    Las vegas Premium Outlets North.

I would say see what stores you definitely have to go to, and then go to the nearest one which has those specific stores.

Outdoor should not be bad in Fall/Winter. I went in May expecting one to be inside, and it was outside.

Should we just get a cab ride from the Plaza to Premium Outlets North? Is it too far to walk?

Well, no, not really. It's not even 1 mile. But no fun in the summer or with shopping bags, to be sure. And yes, I have done it:peace:

There are several buses you can take as well - directions are on their website. http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/directions.asp?id=58

(last time I took the bus there was still a $1 Shopper's Shuttle....And the bus station was still downtown:cheers:) We've had a rental car the last few times I've gone.....

    Walk to North Outlets

Not a bad walk from the Plaza or anywhere downtown. Takes maybe 15 minutes tops. My wife and I always walk there and back. It's on sidewalks and safe, with some interesting architecture on nearby buildings along the way. As someone else mentioned, only negative would be if have a lot of stuff to carry back.

you can pick up the WAX bus outside Binions and its very next stop is the Outlet. Very easy to do if you dont have a car. A taxi would probably be around 20$ round trip I am guessing. We took the shuttle once from DT but do not expect it to be on time. We waited an extra hour after it was supposed to arrive once. I now just take the Wax, its like $7 for an all day pass.

It's a gamble (no pun intended) every outlet is gonna have deals that the other doesn't have. I I personally go to all 3 Primm, North, and South
