Opening line was +5 GB, now down to +3.5. Damn loyal Packer fans (yea, I'm one of them), drive down the line.
I shouldn't have waited until I got to Vegas tomorrow and bet them when it was still +5.

On-line I took GB at +165. I'll bet the rest in Vegas, maybe it'll go back up.

GREEN BAY AT HOUSTON: It’s interesting that Houston is also a very respected team amongst sharps…but the line has moved toward Green Bay here in the Sunday Nighter on NBC. Green Bay opened at +5, but it’s down to +3.5 or +4 as we go to press. Why the move away from the Texans? We’re hearing it’s a combination of the short week off their Monday Night win in New York, and the fact that the Packers are in a season-defining spot on the schedule after some early disappointments. Also, though this hasn’t happened often of late…Aaron Rodgers is a good guy to have on the field in a back-door cover situation late in the fourth quarter. It’s harder to beat GREAT quarterbacks by more than a field goal because they can reduce deficits of 8-10 points in the final moments.

When the line moves away from where you want it, it becomes counter-intuitive...it's good to bet GB here just on the line movement.

In this case I think it's still good as long as you get more than the critical 3.

Packers are well respected in Vegas-

A look back in last meetings it's a 1-1 tie..

The only thing that the Packers are better in is the Red Zone..

I hate to say it but i do feel the packers will win this one.

Houston is over rated and the packers have had a couple blows lately so I feel them bouncing back.

if they dont, their season is over.

Then their season is over. :poke:

The one thing Houston has never been is over rated.

    Dolphins,

    Jaguars,

    Titans

    Jets

    Broncos

Wow, thats a pretty light schedule.

the first 3 are no brainers, easy win for a pop warner team.

The broncos and jets arent playing anywhere near the way they should so a couple more easy wins.

I cant stand the packers and like the texans but where money is at stake one has to use some smarts and not bet with your heart but with your wallet.

the packers will win this game.

Sorry, as a pretty much Texan-only football fan I'm always thinking with my heart (which in the past was always broken). I'd only bet on a Texan game if I felt good about betting FOR them (and understood sports betting lol). But I do believe they'll win this one. Not sure about the spread though.

The Giants +7 looks incredibly tempting.

Normally I would say when a line looks too good to be true, take the others side (i.e. SF). However,
this line opened at -3 (-125) in LV. The line movement is steam.

    I would stay away.

    Congrats, Joe!

I had the great misfortune of watching my alma mater UT (on TV, fortunately), then heading to Reliant Stadium Sunday to see my Houston Texans play a real stinker.

I am wondering if UT & the Texans had some joint practice sessions last week. Haha!

Texans might win, but I wouldn't lay the 6.5
