Opinion on Where to Stay Based on My Games/Budget

Background: 8 trips in the past 2 years, so not a newbie. Have stayed at all CET hotels, plus MGM Grand, M Resort and a few nights downtown. Have a trip planned in just over a week from now at Paris/MSS (this was booked some time ago) and was chosen purely on location of hotel as I will be travelling with an elderly parent. Just booked another flight for first week of December and for the first time, I don't know where I should stay.

Most play lately has been at MGM Grand due to their single zero roulette @ $25 and their reasonable table rules for BJ at the $50 level. Craps I will play pretty much anywhere and since I only place/lay bets, the odds amount (3x/4x/5x, etc), doesn't make any difference to me.

Ok, if you're still with me, thanks for hanging in there. I've just recently learned to play mini-bac at a local casino......I love it! I have done my fair share of reading the differences on this board with respect to mini/midi/big table bac, but I have never paid attention to which hotels/casinos have a reasonable number of games to choose from.

I would like to try the midi or regular bac but at a black chip level ($100 minimum). But I still want close access to single zero roulette (can be $25, $50 or $100 minimum) and decent blackjack.

I get comped at all Caesars hotels, and have some comps via the MLife website for various other hotels. I don't mind calling a new hotel to see what they can do, but I don't want to call unless I know the casino gaming is somewhat parallel to what I play and at my level. Not a room snob, just needs to be clean and comfortable.

Ok Vegas experts.....any suggestions?

 

my gut says at your level of play cet is best for you.
you will get free rooms and little food.

if you move off the strip im sure you can find places also.

rember not all mgm properties comp there resort fees so if your offers are for lower teir mgm place you can pay up 30 a nite just in resort fees.

 

If you're already comped at CET and want the free room, you would do well in Caesars Palace. Try to land a new NOBU room if you are going next year.

If you want to try something new, I'd also recommend Aria... very hip place and you seem to like a variety of games and limits.

 

Thanks for the replies. I want to "play where I stay" but with so many variables, it's getting confusing. Think I'll just check out the bac conditions at several strip properties next week when I'm there, then decide.

I guess the truth is, I want the best playing conditions for every game all under one roof.....it probably ain't gonna happen! Probably just book at Caesars then go from there.

 

Not sure what kind of mlife comps they are sending you, but Mandalay Bay would be a good choice. They have midi-bac in the high limit room for $100 and it is a good place to play for the first time (not as many high rollers, so the pressure is not the same as sitting next to someone playing a couple yellow chips every hand). Also, they have a single zero roulette wheel next to baccarat in the HL room

 

Add in Mirage too as a middle of the road MGM property - they have $25 single 0 roulette on the floor. You will get more mileage with your bets there and Mandalay than says Aria.

 

If you are going with an elderly parent maybe you want to stay downtown somewhere? It would be easy to get to other casinos. Good luck with your search

 

As you've been all around the CET properties, I'd suggest staying at Aria for something new. I found the hotel to be jaw-dropping nice, and I liked the quieter vibe in the casino. Buffet is excellent and they are premiering the new Cirque show in November. I've only gotten comped and stayed there once, but it was memorable.

I would guess at your betting level you'll find the single zero roulette and at $50 you can play the 2-deck S17 blackjack most times (0.17 house edge).

 

Very few MGM properties charge a resort fee on a comped room.

 

But just as a reminder, the Aria buffet just closed for a few months of renovations
