I got an offer for 4 nights, $40, 2 tickets to a show. Have they done anything with the rooms? Are the gambling rules and limits any better?

Manaco Tower have upgraded rooms. Flat Screen TV, mini fridge, safe and VERY comfy beds. Don't expect marble and whirlpool tubs in the bathrooms and you'll be fine.
We ended up getting a package deal with our airfare and it cost us $75 for Wed-Monday total. No show tickets though.

It's definately out of the hustle-bustle. Wynncore is a short walk as is TI. Anything else you may want a bus pass for.

The slots were ok...not great. There were table games open, but like many others we didn't play. They were pretty empty.

Pool area was nice. Kind of protected as it is in the courtyard area.

Are the poolside rooms still cabanas? Used to be suites.

They have one of a very few single zero roulette wheels with low level betting minimums.

What generated your offer? Was it previous play?

My previous play has been minimal. I started getting offers about 3 years ago and they keep coming even though I haven't been a regular and am the opposite of a High Roller.

I was there in June for the $1000 promo. Played $1 VP for about an hour, won $250 and left.

Just got a mailer for 4 nights, $50 slot play and 2 shows tickets.

I stayed there two nights last September through Southwest, got a players card, ran $20 through a slot machine. Yesterday, I received a mailer for three comp nights (Sunday-Thursday) in October, November, December, plus $20 in slot play, 2 show tickets.

Interesting. I hardly ever gamble at the riv anymore because it had gone so downhill...only to redeem matchplays and acg/lva coupons. I got an offer that includes

3 nights stay Sun-Thurs "All for $45.00" (does this mean 3 nights is 15 a nite?)
10 dollars in free slot play
and 2 tickets to either crazy girls or the riviera comedy club! Offer is valid starting october 1st. I may take them up on this offer.

It is truly one of the last of the old-school casino hotels, especially the pool.
