Never stayed at CP before, but I have an offer that will let me choose from the Forum, Palace, or Augustus Towers.

Looks like of those 3, Augustus is the newest and Forum was renovated around the same time.

Any huge differences between the rooms in those three towers?

Looks like Augustus has the best shot of getting a room that looks south towards Bellagio/down the strip? I do like a decent view.

    Thanks...

They also have the Octavius tower now, which is the newest & supposedly most luxurious - although from what I understand it's also the furthest from the casino.

After that I would imagine it's Augustus, Palace, Forum & roman [w/ Centurion becoming NOBU, which I imagine will be very plush]

I'd go with Augustus for the best combo of location & views.

I was curious too, I've never stayed there, and it's intimidating looking at the list haha.

If the view is most important, go with Augustus. If its quick and easy pool access, go with Palace. Forum is cool but the other two are just more.

I just stayed in the Octavious Tower at Caesars Palace from 05/26-05/29. And to put it simply, it was incredible. The room is without a doubt one of the nicer rooms I have ever stayind in. The walk from the room to the casino, the pools or the Strip is not as bad as everyone makes it seem. But Jilly is right as in the "order" from newest to oldest. Definitely go with the Augustus Tower if given the option. By staying in that tower, you get your own dedicated check-in area, own cab pick-up and drop-off area and easy access to the pools. I will put up some pictures of my room in the next few days so you can take a look. Any other questions let me know...

Well, turns out the reservations calendar was teasing me - it shows "OFFER" for those 3 towers, but will only actually let me book the Forum tower.

So maybe I'll book it and since I'll be arriving on a Monday of what looks like a relatively slow week, see if I can charm my way up the food chain when I check in.

BTW Heather, here's a layout map I found. It's from 2009 so some of the names of the restaurants and shops may have changed, but it helps see the relative position of the towers. Ceasars also has a map, but it's harder to read.

I can only speak for the Augustus and Forum towers.

Augustus is excellent! One of the best rooms I've ever had in Las Vegas. We were assigned this at the desk, expecting a ROTH room, on a back-to-back freebee over the holidays last year. No $20 trick needed! :)

Forum was very nice too. Both of them are in a class above about anything else in CET's inventory in the area.

Update: called, and the reservations rep put me in Augustus.

BTW, forgot to ask - anybody know what they charge for one of those mini-fridges?

Nah, I always answer that question honestly. Sometimes, they don't even ask, sometimes I end up getting charged and sometimes I don't.

Just asking because Palazzo charges $25 a day, which is ridic, considering the damn things cost less than $100. If you're staying 5 days, you could just have Walmart deliver one to your room for less.

Looks like CET it's more like $10 - $15. Was just curious.

Yeah, I would most likely tell the truth also. But, I gotta admit it irks me that they charge that much. The strange thing is I have had one before in the room, and I really didnt use it much. For me, I just use ice a plastic bag and keep it in the bathroom sink, or just keep some ice for my beverages.

I'm one of those genuinely needing a fridge for meds. Last trip we stayed at
Excalibur - They wanted $25 per night even though I had a letter from the doctor.
El Cortez Cabana Suites - Included.
    Rio - Included,
Gold Coast - $15 up front fee. We were there for 10 nights, so negligible.
    Imperial Palace - free.
    Orleans - free.

I managed with the ice bucket at Excal, It was inconvenient, but I will not pay for stuff that should be included. They have outsourced the fridges, so there is no way that I could get out of it. I wonder if any other MGM properties are the same.

Outsourced the fridges??? What the heck???

Thank you for clearing up domeboy that you would tell the truth.

I was turned down for a fridge for my insulin one trip because they said they no longer gave them out for medicine. Said too many people abused it. I was NOT a happy camper. I know insulin does not need to be refrigerated over normal course of use, however, I did run into a bad hotel experience by DC where we came back to our room at night. Temps were 105 - 110 (record temps) and the maids had TURNED OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING AND OPENED THE DRAPES TO THE SUN. We came back around 9 pm at which time (room facing west) the sun had been shining into it for hours. It was actually around 125 or so in the room (don't ask, my mom carries a lot of cr*p in her car - had a thermometer). It took us nearly 4 hours to get it to cool down to 85. It was so hot in there the AC just couldn't cool it down. Needless to say all of my insulin left in the room was toast. So consequently I REALLY like to keep it in a fridge when I am on vacation as I don't have control of that room.

Anyway, enough of the ranting. Do any of Caesar's standard tower rooms have fridges already in place? I know Flamingo GO does, and Paris has the empty mini-bars.

Just so you know they will not guarantee what tower you are in.
I've reserved and paid my deposit for an Augustus room and then ended up in a stinky of Forum room with a rooftop view. They refunded the difference in price, but I was still not happy there. Last time I was there for a convention and we stayed in a Palace room. It was great and we had an awesome view of the pool and could peek between the towers at the Bellagio.

I just stayed in Octavious 5/29 through 6/1. I had a few problems with the room but besides that, the room was amazing. My mom's room had view of the pool and my room had view of bellagio fountains. Sure it had a little bit of walking, but the luxuriousness made up for it. Only problems I had were: the LED lights beside bed wouldnt work in one room, toilet in room was broken chain in back was broken, and in room safe had been locked from previous person staying in room.

This is great to hear. My fiance and I booked an Octavius Tower Deluxe King for our wedding/honeymoon trip end of August into September. We were trying to decide between a basic Deluxe room at Bellagio (just to stay at Bellagio for once) or this room at Caesars, which was roughly the same price. Considering the tower/rooms are brand new, I've always wanted to stay at Caesars but never had a reason to spend that much on a room, and one of her top wants on the features list was a whirlpool jacuzzi, we opted for the Octavius room.
