Does the Mirage pool ever get a little rowdy?

    Mirage Pool Questions - Extra Persons/Room Keys/Atmosphere

Any advice would be much appreciated..

1st with regard to entry: If we were to have a few ladies join our room (friends from our hometown) but we have the typical 2 people listed on the room. Have 4 room keys. Will there realistically be any problems getting everyone in to the pool? I just dont want to have to worry about it, but at the same time paying $60/day for extra person charges seems crazy, may as well stay somewhere else.

Is the Mirage pool always pretty laid back (maybe goes hand in hand with the wide demographic that stays at Mirage?) Videos make it seem a little tame, lacking music...

Do they play Top 40 music or do they play random variety?

I am not really wondering about Bare either, just the main Mirage pool. I realize I can stay at Flamingo, and that may still just be an option because the pool is a great time.

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

I wouldn't call the Mirage pool rowdy or laid back. I think it has a great vibe for a "pool day"....now back 10 yrs ago before some of the high end hotels (well and the HR:poke:) started having the DJ'd pool parties, it used to get wild in the afternoon when people had been drinking 3-4+ hours. Now the people that want to really party and be rowdy go to the pool parties. If that's more what you're looking for, then I'd go that direction because the Mirage probably would seem too laid back.

The pool isn't really what you would consider rowdy, but they do play current music EXTREMELY loud!! I found that very uncomfortable. No matter where I was, even while in the pool the music was loud, loud, LOUD!!!!
I found it really hard to relax anywhere at that pool.

I was there last summer (Sunday and Monday), and a drunk guy dived into the pool from the little bridge and security was promptly there from 5 directions to escort him from the pool and off the premises.
Their quick response may be more along the lines of safety (no diving, especially from the bridge) rather than the guy being a drunken mess.

It was a very mixed crowd at the pool. Music was loud and a mix of today's music with a little 80's and 90's in there.

I was by myself so I can't say if you can get more than one person into the pool area with just one room key. But they do check keys at the entrance. Visually, not swiping like MGM does.

Ah gotcha, so if I have 4 keys, and each person has one there should be no issue?

Can anyone who has been at Mirage's pool lately confirm there is no scanning?

    Thanks guys!

Heading down to Mirage pool right now!

I agree with everyone else, it's somewhere in the middle. There's one area they section off, charge $50 a chair and is very quiet. And then there is their party pool, called Bare, where the cost depends on how you look :evillaugh

Ages are all 20's to 60's, so its got something for everyone but my main complaint is that the service for drinks is simply awful. It takes a 20-30 min to have a drink delivered to you.

Let me know what their entry process is if you dont mind

20-30 mins for a drink is pretty ridiculous. What are the prices like?

As long as your group has a working key you should be fine.

If you want "rowdy" why wouldn't you go to one of the many pool parties in Vegas?

We are doing a Weds, Thurs, Fri, leaving Saturday. Rehab is out of the question. Not looking for a place that will charge me to use the pool. I am aware Flamingo is probably the only semi rowdy pool that isn't a cover charge pool party.

Flamingo prices out more than Mirage for me, so its hard to justify doing that just for the pool.

At check in ask for 4 keys, it's NBD. As long as the key is current and works you will have no problem getting in to the pool. There is ZERO chance at check in that they will question your request for 4 keys. If they do question it (which they won't) you can tell them you and your guest are going to have friends come up to visit later or you like to have an extra key each in case one get's deactivated or lost.

Yeah that was the plan. Glad to hear. I've heard stories of housekeeping ratting out people stowing away extra people in the room.. Should I just leave them a fiver each day to keep the quiet? :)

I have never heard of housekeeping ratting out extra people in a room. How would they possibly know that you didn't pay to have extra people staying? They don't have access to your folio.

It's always a good idea to tip the maid, especially if you request extra towels, soap, shampoo etc.
