Played 3 card poker @ PH (where they have the 1MIL. $ payoff for the super royal) and was down to my last 30$ when I got the 9,Q,J of diamonds. Dealer flipped 10, K of diamonds and then Q of hearts. 1 card off of a million $$$. Was still pretty exciting to catch the straight flush but darn!!!! LOL.

That is what Vegas is all about!!!!

I played Bank Vault on our last trip and hit the bonus which was to spin the wheel. The progressive bonus was just over $2 million. The wheel spins and stops one tick way from what would have won the $2 million.

Nice! But a winning Keno player is about as rare as walking the length of the strip and not getting accosted by a card slapper. Keno is usually the worst possible odds you can find.

My mom (who qualified as a little old lady) used to love to play keno. I remember she and my dad came back from Vegas and she had won $1200. The comment from my dad was that she should retire from playing keno, because that is never, ever going to happen again. It happened again (more or less) about a year later!

I'm sure she gave it back several times over in the ensuing years. I don't even notice keno anymore, it's like it doesn't exist.

Since those crazy long shot wins are indirectly helping pay for this trip I may have to try and find a keno place...just call me Clark Griswald in the keno scene--but hopefully I'm NOT the guy who keels over!

The best 'so-close' hand I've had in a while happened to another player at the PaiGow Poker table. On the Fortune Bonus she ended up with As, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, Joker and 6h. If the 6-of hearts was the 7 or 2 of spades, she would have won $5000 on the 7-card straight flush and the rest of the table would have won $500. She and the table still got paid on the straight flush, of course.

    Why the negativity? Twice.

    Never mind, don't answer.
