    My Trip Report

This is my first TR so be patient with me. :) I apologize in advance for grammar or spelling errors. (Edit, not off to a good start with the subject line..lol)

So the trip was Friday April 16th - Friday April 23rd at the Mirage. ^ total but 2 only came down for the weekend and then the other 4 of us were heading the Microsoft Management Summit Monday-Thursday.

Day 1 - We started drinking at about 8:30 AM in the airport, well at least a few of us did. After a couple of Blue Moons and a Shot of Wild Turkey 101 we boarded the plane. The plane ride was full of chuckles but fairly tame.
We arrived in Vegas about 1:30 PM and took 2 cabs to the Mirage where we had a Penthouse Suite booked (courtesy of "P"). *Side note, P & R were first timers to Vegas, myself, C, K and A have all been before.

We checked in and headed to the casino. I must say I was not impressed at all with the casino at the Mirage. It was very dark and just felt uninviting. Anyway, we bellied up to a 5 dollar craps table where I bought in for 100.00, P bought in for 300.00, R who had never played craps before bought in at 100.00, and C who had also never played craps before bought in for 200.00. After a breif explenation of basic craps strategy we were ready.

Played for about 45 minutes I would say and we were all down although not by much. No hot rollers today! We leave craps and all 6 of us head over to BLT Burger to get some lunch/dinner. BLT was pretty good, although didnt seem much better than say a place like Red Robin, but good nonetheless. Since P and R had never been to Vegas we decided to head out to the strip and check it out before getting ready for bottle service booked for Jet. We basically just spent a few hours walking the strip, going in out of the hotels/casinos and grabbing a few beers along the way. Standard Vegas fare.

Time to get ready for our first bottle service experience. We head back to the Mirage and shower and put on our finest threads. About 10:30 we call our contact and headed down to Jet where the lines were piling up in all direction (Only 4 of us went to Jet mind you. Me, P, R and C). A quick call so that the contact could spot as and we were greated by a host who job is apparently to kiss the ass of any "VIP" guests. Being a faily down to earth guy I found it a little annoying to be honest but what the hell, we are forking out some pretty good dough so we go with it. We walk straight to the VIP line and within 30 seconds we are in the club and being directed to our table. We are all fairly sober at this time and there is about 6 people in the entire club. Uhh..our waitress (who was SMOKING hot) assured us that within 30 minutes the club would be hopping. We order our bottles (Buy 2 get 1 free) and settle on Vodka, Crown Royal and Jack Daniels (Which is R's favorite). Once the bottles arrive we decide that we need to start drinking to catch up as none of us are really "feeling it". MISTAKE #1

As we begin drinking heavily to "catch up" some people started rolling in. I started dancing with a lady who told me she was 40. She looked VERY good for her age. Being married I had no intentions of doing anything other than having a good time which is what we did. Danced, laughed, she showed me pictures of her kid to verify she was the age she said she was. All that in about 1:30 from the time we walked in (about midnight). Thats when the lights went out for me. The rest of the night is what my buddies told me. So...according to them...heh..I danced with that girl for about 2 more hours then bumped into our table (which is RIGHT on the dance floor mind you) and spilled the ice bucket. They rushed into clean it up and our bouncer grabbed on my buddies and said he thought it may be time for us to go. He flipped the guy another 100.00 and said he's having a good time man, how about you forget that. The money talked and we continued.

About and hour later I apparently did it AGAIN. :nono: This time they wouldnt take a tip to stay and made us leave. At about 3:00 AM I snapped to...literaly like waking up from a sleep and we were walking through the Mirage (without R) and I'm like..uhh..what the hell are we doing here? They proceeded to say, we'll explain tomorrow but needless to say we were booted from the club. I was obviously pretty hammered as so were the other guys and I noticed R was missing. Apparently he "couldn't" be found in the club to be booted with us.

His side story of that night is pretty funny as well. He was dancing at the stage and was helping ladies up and down off the stage all night. Well he didnt realize we had been booted and went back to our old table which had been cleaned up and sold to the next paying customers..another group of guys and without really paying attention grabbed one of the bottles and had himself a nice long pour when one of them asked what the heck did he think he was doing. his response: "What are YOU doing? This is my table!" in which they replied: "Not anymore its not". He shrugged and took his drink back to the stage to continue partying. The 3 of us decided for whatever reason that we should go walk the strip instead of go to bed so we did just that. Along our stroll we came across a Vegas police car that had crashed into one of the tree in the middle of the Blvd. My buddy P stopped to take a quick photo with his Iphone before we were told to move along.

On the way back to the resort finally (must have been 4 AM at this point) when a group of 6 guys probably in their mid-late twentys. One of the guys seemed to be pissed off about something when his buddy retorted to us "Dont mind him, he just mad becuase he came out of the closet tonight" in which we had a chuckle. My friend C was actually on the phone at the time said something along the lines of "Oh you love c*&k?" I'm like..oh great. We one HIS buddys slows down to stand next to C and gives him a massive shove sending his phone flying. Now P who is with us is a giant. He's 6'5" and wighs about 280. P realizes what just happened and retors with a nice shove of his own while yelling expletives. Once they realized they had awoken a beast another one of their buddies hopped in to defuse the situation. We ended up talking hockey as they were canadian for a bit before parting ways by Ceasars. Who would have thought hockey would defuse a fight??

We finally stumble back to the Mirage and as we are passing by BLT we see R sitting at the bar having a burger and fries. I barely remember this encounter but I know we ended up leaving him there and hitting the sack.
I wake up the next morning and check my pockets and there you have it. A nice 1820.00 charge on my Discover for Jet. We went in hoping to pay around 1200.00 so we all kicked in to cover it evenly. All in all with tips and bottle service I was down 800.00 for that night with very little memory to show for it.

Day 2 - We lounge around for a bit and me an C decide to hit the pool for awhile and shake off some of the ne night before. While sitting at the pool having a fruity drink one of the creepiest men we ever saw starting trolling the pool area. The guy was probably in his 50's, had a full bathrobe one with a small hand towel hung over his arm as he held it out like a butler with a 70's porn stache and the creepiest sh*t eating grin you have ever seen. QUITE disturbing. After abotu 45 minutes of sun I decided to call it since I didnt have any sunscreen. luckily I just redenned up a bit and didnt actually get burned. Score! I go back and take a 2 hour nap. When I wake up I txt the boys to see whats doing. C, P and R are downstairs playing craps. I went and checked into my own room which was booked for Sat through Friday. They played for 4 hours on the same table and C was up 900.00, P was down 300.00 and R was up 200.00.

I came down and hung around and watched a bit before they finally broke off and we decided to head downtown for the night. We catch a limo downtown that was only 30.00 and he took us straight down the strip so we could see places we hadnt seen before like Riviera, Stratosphere , etc. the driver tell us there is some big country star playing on freemont and that it would be hoppin. Although I dont listen to country music it was pretty cool. Freemont was PACKED. We headed straight for the beer stand as I needed something to get my second wind. A couple of cold Miller lites later I was starting to come back.

Blackjack time for me C and R! We head into Freemont casino and start the search for an open 3/2 5 dollar blackjack table. With little effort we find one that has 2 open seats so R and I squeeze in. the dealer was an asian lady who I am convinced was hooked on cocain. She sniffed non stop the entire time we played. C finally got a seat a few minutes later and we played for about 30 minutes for C said he couldnt take it anymore (the sniffing) and got up to hit the roulette table behind us. I was up about 60.00 as well was R so we stayed. about 2 minutes later I hear "woohoo!" and "oh my god!" coming from the roulette table. i turn to look and there is C standing with a giant grin on his face and the ladies sitting there with an amazed look. I shout out "what just happened?" and he proceeds to tell us how he walked over, put 20 on black 25 and it hit. BAM 800 something dollars on his 20.00. not a bad return on investment! Our dealer finally leaves for the night and a new one takes over.

We played BJ for another hour or so and I was up about 120.00. I was tipping pretty regularly to the dealers and cocktail waitresses to keep to good mojo going and for this night it seems to work! Never was without a drink while playing. :) R starts to get bored so decides to push all in on the next hand. Bust. Somewhat amuzed and somewhat pissed he grabs a 100.00 from his wallet and stated money plays. Bust. the lady sitting next him said something along the lines of "if you do that again I may slap you..lol" being very friendly of course. He retorts " I cant possibly lose again can I?" in sync everyone at the table says YES YOU CAN. he flips 3 more hundreds from his wallet and money plays again. I almost slapped him myself. Well guess what? BUST. yep just like that folks he was down about 450.00 bucks...in a matter of about 5 minutes. He FINALLY learned his lesson and got up from the table. I colored up and we decided to head to the craps table.

One minor request, paragraph spacing? Makes it easier to read.

NIce report man! I know how bad BJ can be which is why I never play it anymore.

It is a joke. Your friend losing $450 in 5 minutes is not surprising. :peace:

    Continued..

So we head over to the craps table at Freemont Casino where about 6 people were playing. We all buy in for 100.00. Dice come straight to me and I roll 2 sevens in a row. Not a bad start. Roll a point and then crap aout about 3 roll later. We all take our turn not really rolling anything and it comes around the table to a guy who gets hot. We start making some money and things are looking up...thats when IT HAPPENED...

A crackwhore (sorry but no other way to describe it) comes stumbling up to the table. Lays her cell phone down ON the craps table (suprised that she even has one..) and pulls a crinkled up 5 dollar bill out her BRA and tries to hand it to one of the dealers. He instructed her to please remove her phone from the table and place her money down. She gives him a dirty roll of the eyes then complies. The whole time we are all murmering under our breaths things like ahh wtf!

The game basically came to a screeching halt. I'll be damned if the table didnt go ICE COLD. Lost about 75 bucks before pulling out. Luckily the CH lost her money too and didnt stay long but either way she killed the mojo. Grr..

After that we decided to head back to the strip. We looked ALL OVER for a 5 dollar BJ table at some of the lower end places that WASNT 6/5 and the handful of table we found were full so we just decided have another drink and call it a night.

Day 3 - The day that P and R head home. We get up and try the breakfast buffet which wasnt bad but wasnt that good either. Was about as good as Denny's i would say. Anyway, back to the craps table we go. I lose about 100 and P loses about 1000.00.

To keep this in perspective. P came to Vegas with about 4000.00 for the 2 nights with all intentions of leaving with nothing so he bet big and bet hard most of the time. His first time in vegas and he wanted to really experience it...which he did! LOL. Rest of the guys break about even.

We head to Rhumbar (one of my favorite new places on the strip!) and sit outside drinking cocktails and shooting the sh*t before P and R have to head to the airport. About the time they left I got the call from another buddy who just landed at the Venetian with yet another buddy. I'll have to call them M1 and M2. Well its M1's 36th Birthday so no choice but to celebrate. Before you know we were 6 strong again drinking at Rhumbar.

I was drinking mostly Appleton (which is my favorite rum, Ya mon!) After several drinks we decide to get dressed and head back downtown for some more gambling.

i wonder if we were playing the same craps game on Saturday at The Mirage...my girl and I were there about 1pm. We were on the table on the right when looking towards Cravings. I was on the hook and the table was pretty hot for awhile.

I bet we were! If so your girlfriend was on a hot streak so the guys tell me. You likely would remember the giant on the otherside of the craps table facing you if it was the same table. Thats P.

Nah, she didn't shoot. But I think I remember your boy and they were at the next table over.

I was shocked to find a $5 table in there...on a Saturday afternoon of all days.
