What a strange existence

 

It was an excellent run, and super entertaining, thank you for bringing us along! You’re making the correct choice IMO!

 

Casino has time on their side, you may get lucky once (or a few times) in a while, but eventually they will break you. That’s been happening with all the regular whales at my local, their names show up in the weekly drawing a lot for a few months , then they kinda disappear.

 

Can't argue with that

 

And there's nothing wrong with quitting.

Good luck VDT. Sorry that it happened. I hope you can recover from it, and maybe in a few years, we can grab another meal together.

I'm glad to hear you've made that decision VDT. The same 4-6 VMBers keep cheering you on and while I think it's fantastic to have a fan-club, I think a number of us have at least been thinking, "come on dude... come up for air."

Take a breather and hopefully the Gods of Good Forune will circle around you when you do elect to return.

I took a few shots at roulette in between craps sessions

first was at Venetian when I went to lunch
I ordered my food and then went to the roulette table with my $650 free bet chips
by this time, I was already down $5k

I bet $650 on black and hit
then I took $450 of it and spread it on my numbers ... thought about putting the $200 on black but I didn't
missed the numbers. it was black
Went back to Yardbird to have my lunch

I took another couple of shots at roulette at Venetian but didn't get anything going

 

when I arrived at Bellagio, I had $200 and change in cash
I bet my numbers at roulette and hit a number for $25
pressed and missed ... tried one more and missed

went to craps

I was about to leave Bellagio since my flight time was coming up
I bought in for $2k in marker, played up and down ... ended up with $2300 in cash
I'm down $13-14k so what to do ... let me take a shot

I stopped at the roulette table again
I bet $100's on number and bet $1000 total. hit red 34
$3500 + $100 original wager. so +$2600



I pressed and bet $300 per number, from the black 24 to black 11
and bet $75 each on the 36, 30, and 26 as insurance
total wager $3525

the ball landed on 36.......... just one spot away from the 24 with $300 on it which would have paid $10,500
instead I got the consolation prize of $2625
that one hit could have fixed the day

well, I can't stop now. bet again and missed. the next roll landed on 1 and then double zero. so each spin result kept going away from my zone
so I just dumped the rest of the money and then rushed to get to the airport

 

You just couldn’t catch a break…
