I am beyond excited to say that I just officially booked a trip to Vegas for October 20-25 :woohoo:

Big changes in my life recently...so I had a "yolo" moment and I'm making this happen!!

This will be my first ever 100% solo trip... I'm kind of a tiny bit nervous, but super excited at the same time... I have enjoyed all of the great live reports on this board so I've been influenced to try it out myself... will try to post a lot of pics... Stay tuned for that starting on the 20th!

In the meantime I have made some plans for the trip... I plan to splurge on a ticket to catch the Rolling Stones concert on the 22nd...if anyone has any tips on how to get a single ticket for a half decent price I'd be happy to know... In addition to this I've purchased a ticket to see the Seattle Seahawks take on the Arizona Cardinals on the 23rd in Glendale (#GoHawks), so that will be a day trip...I'm pretty excited about this, got myself a seat in the RedZone... Row 1! Front row end zone! Can't wait for that, gonna be awesome!

Outside of that my plan is to do a lot of drinking and gambling up and down the Strip. Bankroll will be $5K as usual...getting in on the afternoon of the 20th...leaving on the red-eye on the 25th...so with Sunday being a write-off gambling-wise to head out to the game I'll have about $1K per day to mess around with...I'm confident I can have a blast with that!

I'm up to meeting up with anyone who may be in town during that time... think it would be cool to have a drink and shoot the sh!t with some other Vegas aficionados... maybe a high limit slot pull? If you're around lets make something happen!

This is going to be gooood! Can't f#@*ing wait!!

Re: the Stones ticket, StubHub is your best bet...the longer you can wait, the better deal you will get. Good luck!

    Vegas, the Stones, and football.
You're having more excitement in a few days than most people in my neighborhood have in a lifetime!
    Have a great trip!

That's what I thought...most likely gonna wait until last minute and hope prices come down a little.
Anybody have any experience with scalpers at the venue?

In the past few years I've found myself playing more slots (travelling with gf's that don't play tables)...but I plan to mostly play blackjack this trip. I'll probably mix in a few other table games for variety and a change of scenery...maybe this time I'll try craps, seems like a fun game!

Sounds like a great trip.....we arrive on the 25th, damn, would have been fun to meet another Hawk fan in Sin City.

We had originally planned on going to the Stones show on the 19th and I was sort of reseraching tickets, but that was before they added the second show. The general consensus was there would be " tickets on the ground" , thinking was they didn't sell out last time in Vegas on a weekend night, in a smaller venue and this show is midweek in a larger venue.

You can be pretty flexible only needing a single, there are always groups of people who have someone either flake out or in Vegas get day drunk and bail. I would think if you see some Stones fans as you walk around or gamble just ask if they have an extra for face, I have had pretty good luck doing this over the years. It is obvioulsy a gamble, and if you want the security of knowing you have a ticket this plan sucks.

I am in the same situation, sort of, for the following weekend, we need two Phish tix for the 28th, I think we'll just poke around when we get there.......Friday should be the easier of the four night run to find extras......I hope. I will probably drop in to the Brooklyn Bowl during the days and see if there are any phans in there, it can be a pretty good place to find like minded rock and roll people eating fried chicken and hanging out :feedme:

We have friends who travel for Hawk games and have been well received at the Arizona games, they dress in full Hawk gear and have found the Arizona fans a lot of fun......invited to tailgates etc.

Have a fantastic trip ! Looking forward to your report :headbang:

@Camp Rusty Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely try out your suggestion of mentioning things at the tables etc...or Brooklyn bowl, you never know! Otherwise a last minute ticket through stub hub or ticketmaster will be what it is...
Also thanks for the tips for the game...I was planning on wearing my Wilson jersey but didn't want to get my ass kicked haha I feel better about it now...
Hope you have an awesome trip of your own!

I'm very enthusiastic...and the scary part is that it hasn't even fully sunk in that this is all going down in two and a half weeks...I'm gonna set the bar high with this trip, future trips will have a hard time measuring up to this one!

Sounds like a fantastic trip!! Vegas, the Stones and a football game. That is awesome. A few years ago, I did the same thing. Flew to Vegas from NY for a 6 day trip. The NY Giants happened to playing the 49ers in Frisco, so I just jumped on a plane, flew to the game, and then jumped back on a plane and was back in Vegas at night. That was fun!! Have a great time. Keep us posted and take lots of pictures.

I'm definitely excited for the game...I think it will be a nice break in the middle of the trip... a nice drive out to Glendale excited to watch the game...then driving back excited to get back to the Strip... I'm also contemplating seeing Elton John or Britney Spears on Friday night as well. There are just so many possibilities and things to do! Can't wait! I have all intentions to keep up a live report and looking forward to sharing with everyone here at VMB!

Well I just bought a ticket to see Elton John on Friday night... so that is added to the itinerary! I also just booked a rental car for the trip so I will have wheels at my disposal... I'm pretty sure I know this but is valet and self-parking still free at TI and Planet Hollywood?

Add Iron Mike Tyson to the list!
So, my schedule includes Mike Tyson Thursday night, Elton John Friday night, the Rolling Stones Saturday night, Skrillex at XS on Saturday night (possible), and Seahawks vs Cardinals on Sunday in Arizona... seems like a pretty decent trip so far! Only one week away...can't wait!

Wow, what a list! This may become the ultimate-dream perfect Vegas trip! Even if you don't win a penny, you can't go wrong. Great planning!

Wish you a major trip and lots of big wins on top of it (but please leave something on the tables for us going in November lol)!
