I have several offers with CET for 2 free rooms at several properties, but neither online nor phone booking will honor them. Is this standard? I can book a regular room at standard price, but as soon as I apply an offer code suddenly availability is completely gone for all properties.

Are you saying two free nights for one room? How far out are you trying to book? It is possible that all the rooms allotted to that offer code may be already taken if you are looking at a date in the near future. .

Unless there is a show ticket or slot tourney etc., I normally ignore the offer codes & just enter my dates into the calendar to get the best comp. I have had 'offers' that actually would have cost more than the comp nights in the calendar.

Possibly all the comped rooms are gone for your dates.....? ..I've had this happen & when I tried again the next day....it was ok...got the same ones I had already tried for the dat before. I usually just use the calendar with great results....no problems once I started using it instead of my offers...

You really need to look at the fine print on the offers. Many are good only on specific days or have other hooks. But, in fact, I always do better by simply putting in my dates and seeing what comes up- like sybgal.

Remember, that when you get the offer of a free room, it is for a certain time period AND, Certain room type based on your play. For instance, at the flamingo you may be eligible for a FAB room, but not a go room.

As Jgates8 stated, Unless the promo is full for the nights you are trying to book, there is no reason you wouldn't be offered the room. The casino's want you to take advantage of their free room offers so there is no reason they would offer it to you and not honor it.

I know on the website it is sometimes confusing as when you click on apply offer and get to the next page, it sometimes says "offer code not valid" or something similar, however, if you go to the top and change the room type you will find the class of room you are comped for.

    Thanks for the responses.

I just brought up the calendar and booked whatever was available with the intent to rebook if rates drop. Kind of frustrating that I was trying to book 3 days for the great gift wrap up offer, but it was completely unavailable at all strip casinos. That first week of November must be a busy time.

Around 150K+ in town for conventions.
As said, when you see an offer you might use, call ASAP to insure you get a room.
Also, if I see a room we might want comped/great price I JUMP--can always rebook if prices drop.

2 cards work better than one if low or mid roller. meaning a companion card, wife gf buddy etc.

I tried making reservations with an attached offer. I get the free room, but I can't attach any of the offers to them like free-play or dining credit. When I pull up the calendar, there are no offers for any of the days on any of the months that the offers are for. So I just texted my host, and he's setting me up with the room. I told him to attach one of the better free-play offers or the dining offer. He always does, and he upgrades my room to a Vista Room at PH which I can't do online.

    yup..if your "overcomped", it is...
I have a TON of free room offers...when I try to book them, they're all "sold out"...but I can surely book a room paying rack rate...

It's weird that the customer service rep either didn't know this or didn't want to tell me. Do you know if it's possible to use your spouses comps if she's not staying at the hotel?

I always have problems trying to book an offer deal online, but if I just go into the reservations part and don't use an offer code, I can usually get free rooms no problem. My offers are usually only for $10.00 food and beverage credit or $15.00 free play, so not getting the offers are no big deal. Personally I would rather get the free rooms. I just managed to get 3 free nights at Caesars for our upcoming trip this way.

No - They have to be there at check-in. Even using the number as a 'companion' for a trip will require them to be present at check-in. People have been burned/caught trying to do this before.

One thing I can think of, it may not apply to your case.

CET makes some offers wayyyyy out in advance. So I think for some people it would be possible that:

    • Offer hits your account
    • You then have a trip that screws up your ADT
    • Then you go to book the offer and come up empty on availability.

I think that kind of scenario is less likely to happen with MLife (at least for now).

There are many reasons you can not get a comped room.
    * They have sold many rooms and now have limited inventory, so they tighten up on offers
    * They anticipate selling out, or close to it
    * Your ADT has dropped from where it was
    * Your ADT is maybe the same, but rooms for that level of ADT have all been sold/reserved

I have the same issue. It depends on what property you want to stay at, and your level of play. From CET, I get 3 nights free every month at (theoretically) every property except Caesars. But when I call (usually the same day I receive the email), it is never valid at PH or Paris, just at their lower-end properties.

I am strictly a craps players, never play slots. I'm sure that is part of the problem - CET prefers slot players.

So I got that Great Gift Wrap Up promo e-mail again today and called Caesars again. I was like look, you just sent me this offer for exactly Nov 3 - 7 and I've tried booking it online and the entire calendar says its sold out. Long story short, after 30 minutes on the phone with 25 of that being on hold, they went ahead and gave me my comped rooms! Saved $400 off my prior reservation!
