So sorry to hear that, but what a wonderful friend you are. We should all hope to have someone like that in our lives.

 

Sorry to read about Eric, Ben. The very best to you and his family.

One (out of many) horrible things about it is that you think of your best friend every day for the rest of your life and, for a little while, you see him as he was at the end. It's very rough, but you're a great guy for being there with him for seventeen long years and at the end.

Your life is better because Eric was in it and time will heal this wound, eventually.

My very best to you and take care.

 

Oh my! I'm a true believer in only the good die young. This wasn't Eric's doing, he didn't ask for this, but God needed Eric to be with God. No more suffering. Vegas does help with grieving. Healing hugs to you.

I used to go to Vegas once a month and would visit eric every time. I don't know how I feel about it but there are places that I will never go to again like Paris, the gardens at the flamingo, twain ave, etc. We went to so many places. Time will ultimately tell but right now I don't look at vegas the way I once did.

 

My condolences on the loss of your friend. I hope posting about him and letting others know a bit about him help in this difficult time.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It takes a strong person to stay there through the end. I'm also sorry his family isn't doing some kind of service because that's always good therapy for everybody.

Reading your post got me very sad and a little teary. I have been through many big losses in the last 2 years and there's really no words anyone can ever say to make you feel any better. My condolences to you. I know how bad it hurts.

 

I'm am sorry about your friend. That was a very loving tribute to him. My father died in that exact same hospital on Sept 20th 2015 he went to Laughlin on vacation and got sick and they flew him to Vegas. I hope the staff was as kind to you as they were to us. I had to fly from Denver to be with my dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you. It's so hard losing someone you love.
