    Hi fellow VMBers!

Since my summer trip didn't land me the 20 year hand pay I've been seeking on slot machines, I'm hoping my fall trip will be a different story.

The first three nights I'll be staying at The Golden Nugget and playing mostly downtown. Last time I stayed downtown, I played primarily at Binion's. I will be playing mostly at MLife properties on The Strip the second half of my trip.

So, my question for you fellow slot players is your opinion on where to cycle through a $1,000 using my "finger clicker" (count spins) method on either a $5 or $10 slot machine playing 2 to 5 coin max bet? I'm hoping to bring a $5k bankroll this time, but want to have plenty to give to my favorite Walking Dead slots!

I'm hopeful for an early in the trip win, so my time on The Strip is doubly enjoyable and I hope to break my 20 year hand pay drought! LOL. Can't hurt to wish!

Thanks for the suggestions on Downtown casinos or even specific machines!

I like the 5$ WoF machines that are found at most of the DT casinos. Some of them have an 1195$ top prize for the wheel bonus though, so that wont get a handpay. Last time I was in town (Late Jan) The D had a small (25ish) corner for higher limits on slots, 2 5$ WoF, variable top dollar and some standard 1 line higher limit slots. GN has a boxed off area for their slots, similar to D but they have a variable pinball game that I like. If I remember right it was 5/10/25/50. Plaza had a 25$ WoF but not much else that I can remember. DT grand, cant comment to much because the only time I walk that direction is in the wee hours after drinking.

The D has moved their High Limit Slot area upstairs in the back corner by the Grill and Showroom.

I play a fair amount of these machines downtown, even up to $25 denom.

If my main, or only, goal was a handpay, I would play at Binions. They have some multi denom machines near the high limit "area".
The Golden Nugget has plenty of machines, And I have had a few handpays on a $25 Double Top dollar in there. It is my go to machine when I have a bunch of extra bankroll. I have seen a few hand pays around $20k.

Other high limit machines in other casino's DT I have never hit, or even seen big hit's on. Especially The Boyd casino's.

Thank you! I didn't play there the last time and look forward to checking it out. Glad to know where to look!

Thank you so much for the advice! I really enjoyed playing at Binion's the last time we stayed DT, but I was only playing lower denomination slots. I don't think I even looked at the higher denomination machines. I will give Binion's and Golden Nugget a shot this time around for higher denomination machines, as they are the two DT casinos I am most familiar with. Thanks again!

Neat to hear that they moved the high limit area at the D. The place it used to be at NEVER got drink service. And being right by the elevators got me to many spectators, I prefer a "bit" of privacy on slots.
