    hey guys,
I'm at a active casino marker (here in Midwest area $10k) but it will my mpfirst time out in Vegas using markers, I decide to open at Aria 15k and mirage for 15k.

even tho I'm a very skillful(?) gambler/player I'm a bit scared to play out in Vegas ... I'm a baccarat player bets low as 50 and high as 2 or 3k per hand (only bet this high when I'm really doing well) my average is around 450 per hand.

Question is that all you credit players out there, how do you prepare yourself when you are playing with marker? Are you more careful or? I may know the answer already (just being careful) but just want to hear from season Vegas credit players. Any point/suggestion/ideas would appreciate it..

I play the same. For me its just easier than carrying cash.

If you are comfortable playing on credit at your home casino, you will find vegas the same in that regard

Yeah thanks.... I'm bit nervous but I believe I can manage it.... Lol I hope. I just don't want to lose and go on tilt mode and be stuck for 10k!!!

Ugh. We've all been there. There may be more of a risk for that in vegas, just because of the free flowing booze and sensory stimulation. But I have made that mistake when playing with cash or credit

I don't play any differently than when I bought in with cash in the yesteryears. I think it's because I have a reasonable limit to the total amount I can take out a marker.

I hope you do well in Vegas. Tell us about your venture there. Include photos if you can.

Why would you open a credit line for $15K (at two casinos, no less, for a total of $30K) if you are afraid you may "go on tilt mode and be stuck for $10K"? This is absurd. Open a credit line for the amount you can comfortably lose and no more. Obviously, $15K is too much for your comfort range. The limit can always be extended if you have enough to cover it in your bank account.

We use markers in Vegas. As others have said, if you can handle yourself at home Vegas shouldn't be a problem.
    Good Luck!

Yeah, the marker is just a more efficient means for carrying cash.
The budgeting should be the same.
Don't take out more than day's daily budget at once or total.
Doing anything otherwise is no different than blowing ones budget when carrying cash.

Thanks for your concern ... Lol well first if I couldn't afford or didn't had money to cover that amount then yes I will be crazy....and casino would not offer it to me. i would think most people would get pretty upset if you lost 10k in one session or one night, I was just making that point.

I just want to hear what others do or how do they manage their markers in Vegas. I have marker here in Midwest and use it three times per week at least, I didn't make platinum level less than 6months by playing 25per hand in BJ lol. I take out upwards 5k per session and I have not once walked out casino without paying marker... Anyhow, thanks for your concern saying "absurd" but I'm good. Lol.

Oringally Aria and mirage each offered me 25k,( when I asked for minimum 15k and up) but I don't think I would need that much I do feel comfortable at 15k each so I would think it will work out... Thanks all for your input.

To be fair, you weren't too clear about what you meant...you talked about getting $30k worth of credit and then mentioned you'd freak out over losing $10k. You didn't say, "in a day/session..." So I think the poster's concerns were warranted.

Plus, c'mon...you said you were a skillful baccarat player.

Phahhaha you are correct sir.... Regardless whether I'm a skillful player or not losing 10k in one night will ruin my night for sure... I hope not.

Anyway, do you know any player who's are serious baccarat players here VMB? I would love to talk about way/how they play the game.

I always take out markers when I'm in vegas. IMHO, much easier than bringing up cash or travelers checks in that amount. I like the feel of using the casino money instead of my money. As others mentioned, I basically take out my day's gambling money so I don't carry a lot of cash on me. I am one of those that doesn't want a big wad of money in my pocket so I rather just take out markers in smaller increments every day. When the money from the day's marker is gone I go do other things and don't take out more for gambling unless it is the last day or two before I leave.
