    We will be staying downtown @ El cortez this trip and we want to make a trip out to Sam's via the shuttle. Per Sam's town's website the shuttle is only for "hotel guests" So, my obvious question is do they check room keys?
    Thanks!

    I've never heard of the Sam's Town shuttle being for hotel guests only. I've taken the shuttle from The Cal to Sam's several times and never been asked to show a room key or a BConnected card. Additionally, the shuttle has never been close to full when I've taken it.

    The web site says hotel guests are given priority, but I wouldn't worry about being turned away for not being a hotel guest.

    The shuttle is actually a full sized Showtime bus. I would think it holds around 40 people. Plenty of room. Also one from Samstown to Harrahs and back.
    Bus driver never checked anything.

    How long does it take to go from Harrahs to Sams then Sams to Cal?

    15 minutes or so, depending on traffic, for each leg.
    Good luck. :beer::beer:

    I know the shuttle that comes and goes to Strip is full size, but the Downtown shuttle I road in years past was about the size of airport parking shuttles.

    If the driver carded me (he did not in the past), I would simply say, "Is it ok to give you my tip early"? Given that, I'm confident he will be taking you to Sams Town.

    In December it was a full sized showtime bus from sams to downtown and Harrahs. Orleans and GC are the smaller shuttles

    Looking at the schedule I picked up,
    Leave Harrah's at 12:10 pm to arrive at Sam's Town at 12:40pm.
    Leave Sam's Town at 12:45pm, Leave Fremont Casino at 1:15 pm.
    Then it's just a few minute ride to Cal.

    You just need to watch to Arrival time vs Leave time at Sam's Town. The Harrah's bus is a different bus/route than the Downtown service. There may be times when you are stuck at Sam's Town for a while.
