An Augustus Tower that's up to or beyond Octavius standards would be the best scenario in the entire CET lineup, IMO. You'd be close to the Strip AND have Octavius or better decor? Awesome.

Might as well use the credit card while you still can! CET definitely needs these room remodels though. I think their overall room quality is what keeps bigger spenders away from CET.

I was in Octavius a few weeks ago and Augustus for summer last year. Didn't feel like it really needed a renovation other than maybe the carpets???

We always stay in the Augustus Tower and thought the rooms great but we'll gladly welcome any upgrades. Paris is also already in the process of remodeling their rooms.

The Augustus rooms are starting to feel a bit dated. They are very large, feel like junior suites, and have the best views, but the beds and decor need updating. Also, the wooden baseboards in most of the bathrooms are getting dry rot. They could use better linens and towels as well to be competitive with today's top tier properties.

I wonder if they consider Harrahs the carnival south rooms that are already being remodeled as we speak.

Stayed in an Augustus Tower room two weeks ago and it didn't strike me at all as something that needed to be renovated. Bed was amazing.

That Paris is on the list intrigues me, wondering if those rooms will be in inventory for our August trip. We usually do Red with Eiffel view so wondering if that's included in this round.

Glad to finally see Paris get some love to the rooms.

That's interesting considering what I heard from two separate maintenance people in January was that the Palace tower was up next for a remodel. CET was taking the Palace rooms down to the studs, since the tower itself had not been touched since its construction in 1998.
I knew that it was getting new HVAC units along with Augustus tower. Wondering if CET decided to bump up Augustus since it was one of the heavier revenue generating towers.

It does look like the Augustus rooms were only "refreshed" not completely redone from pics I have seen.

Paris also needs some renovations at the pool. Peeling paint and whatnot all over the place.

Last time there I didn't think they were bad at all so a refresh seems ok.

I think eventually i'll be priced out of Caesars even with my TR card once they do the updating. I stay for 5 nights at a time, so hopefully the lower end resorts (like Harrah's, Flamingo, and Rio (if they continue to keep it), will still be relatively cheap (below or about the same as the LinQ). I don't mind paying per night, been there, done that, but with the higher rates, resort fees, and my medical bills in the thousands and me not able to work, it's tough.

I love the Strip too much to gamble off Strip at Gold Coast or Stations. Hopefully Caesars will come through when all is said and done and not price me out of the market.

Just spent three nights in the Augustus Tower room and I agree that these rooms need updated. It is a great room that is the size of a suite but the carpet is worn and the TV is small and outdated. The shower tiles are also looking dated. We had a great view (room #2980) of the Bellagio fountains and the strip which was great. We had stayed there the week the Augustus Tower fist opened and were given a room on the 45th floor, wow were we impressed. The best part was the guy that was checking us in upgraded us at no additional cost.

My advice is to never stay in the Four Queens then!
