I was JUST comped by my host at the Cromwell for a stay I have coming up in late September, but I got "bumped". So, I have to use my play on Total Rewards. Is it me, or have the rates jumped up really high in the last few days?!?!

I am confused. What do you mean you were "bumped". And, what do you mean that you have "use my play on Total Rewards"? Have you logged in to see if you can get a comped room using the rate calendar?

Use promo code INSIDER when you're logged in. That should help save a couple of bucks a night. Also, log-in, log-out, click on the days you want then go back, reload the page. Sometimes the prices refresh and if you do that, you'll land a lower rate. Heck, sometimes I book the low rate I thought I got only to find that it went down the next day so I'll cancel and rebook.

IN TR . click on book now at top or page. put in "flexable " for date. Then Vegas and all hotels, put in month and click to submit. Will show all comps and prices for the month. Adjust date to get up to 2 months of dates

If your host comped you a room, he should at least find you another comped room in another CET property. My host always comps me a room at any of the CET properties that I want to stay.

+1 Without question even if you got "bumped" from the Crom your host at the very least should get you another room

Sure would be great if the OP came back and explained the situation and gave us all an update.

Seems to be a code for employees of the travel industry. Do they check this at check in / out?

What would they check for. Many people have no id, business card, etc.

To add to this -- if you work in the travel industry you usually have an IATA/TA number that you can enter on the TR website. I wouldn't stress about it. Although I do wish I still had my card -- upset that I didn't follow through with getting it.
