Has paying for parking at the MGM properties started? How is this "paying for parking" going to work? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

Not yet. No formal rollout or procedure has been announced.

I think they are using it for T Mobile Arena Events only at the moment and just those near it.

If it happens at all I would think you would swipe your room card or a parking card to get in and out of the parking lot/structure.
The charges will show up on your final room statement. That's what most hotels in Tourist States do now. Just my opinion.

Pay to park is such an ugly way to say it.

They preferred way to say it is "Enhanced Parking Experience"

    Because customers wanted it?

Yep that'll be it. We wanted it like 6:5 blackjack!

Bell front desk told me it will be free for hotel guests.
But its still going to be a cluster with people having to Pay, and tourists are slow in general. meh.
    Not looking forward to it.

Just came back from Vegas. Stayed at the Mirage and along with Luxor, it was the least ready of all the Mlife casinos in terms of paid parking. Aria had some ticketing machines installed. NYNY seemed the most ready with machines, barriers and even signs saying "please do not forget to take your tickets for parking" everywhere. I can't understand why all casinos can't seem to manage the process at the same pace, but Mirage didn't seem like it can charge for parking for at least another couple of months.

Everything MGM has stated publically has made it pretty clear that hotel guests will be paying the fee. Despite the arena being used as justification for it, it seems very clear that the customer they want to pay this fee is the hotel guest. Otherwise I don't see a reason to roll it out at Mirage.

Last I heard was that the parking fees were supposed to roll out across the entire mgm board on June 1st. This was pushed back from the original date which was supposed to be in early April when the arena opened.

I will be staying at Delano 5/30-6/1 and Vdara 6/1-6/3 so if it really does happen on 6/1 I'll be there for it.
