Did that very good Mexican restaurant at Suncoast get replaced by the highly over rated Du Pars?

I thought Du-pars was replacing the cafe. I see neither the Mexican place nor the cafe listed on their web site though so I wonder what went in that space?

Coasta cantina has been gone from Suncoast for a while.

No, that lousy, flavorless Costa Cantina is hopefully gone in favor of the superb DuPars.

Kind of a guess here, but I ate at the cafe a month ago. It was obvious they had moved it to the space where the Mexican restaurant used to be, while Du Par's was being built. Once the Du Par's is opened, I doubt they will keep the cafe open. That wouldn't make sense. So, they'll either put the Mexican place back, or turn that room into something else. But for right now, yes, the cafe has replaced the Mexican restaurant.

HA! If someone is from a place like Minnesota then it probably seems terrific. If you are from Texas or California then it's mediocre at best.

Isn't Costa Cantina the name of the restaurant they closed at Orleans, too? Maybe they don't want to offer Mexican food in their lineup anymore.

...and Du Pars is a Golden Gate restaurant? Guess it is not exclusive.

Their pancakes are the best I've had anywhere. Hands down. The thing is, I rarely eat pancakes but damn DuPars knows how to make 'em.

Their secret, so far as i can tell, is simply to cook each pancake in a half cup of butter [emoji14]

No, not a coffee shop type person. I just don't like DuPars. It's a tourist trap.

Ironic, since Las Vegas is a tourist trap Joe.

They are heavy on the butter, yet they somehow maintain fluffiness. Bliss.
