Remember those double mirror periscope boxes -
enabled you to see over the head of the people in front of you.
Somebody must have made a million - back in the day !
Now, I don't see them AT ALL ?
Did the PGA outlaw them ?
Or should I start selling them outside the golf events ?
    ( Ken ?......is this a fluff question for you ?......ha-ha ! )
    ........I don't see them anymore......seemed like a good invention ?

I've seen them on tv a couple of times, but long ago. I used to go to the LV stop for years, but never saw one. You might find one at Value Village next to the hula hoops though.

    Good Luck!

Tiger Woods said they annoyed him. Of course a butterfly flapping it's wings two fairways over would annoy that jackass.

I've sat at NY Giants football games +
sometimes you get "newbies" in front of you that
feel they need to stand up every time a great play occurs.
My buddy who's been a life long season ticket holder -
has ZERO patience with this !
He explains to them LOUDLY --- "okay, we don't stand + block everyone's view
    for each great play !"
I had to laugh out loud ! --- but he is right - sit down + everyone will see the play, too !
Maybe, i could sell a few periscopes before the game ?

Ha, that's nothing. The trend now in the lower bowl of most NFL stadiums is to stand for the entire game. Thanks a lot Seahawks fans. Every season (except last, when I had a broken leg), I have been buying tickets to the Eagles at Redskins game and have to stand on my arthritic hips for 3 hours or else just watch the game on the giant replay screen. Hundred bucks plus parking plus outrageous concession prices to get a much worse view of the action from Row 10 in the end zone than I would get staying at home.

And yes, once again, it's the no class, mentally unconscious 20 to 30 something's who only attend games to scream, get drunk, snort coke and bang the little girls who tag along for the free lines. I believe that this will definitely be my last game, due to missing last year's game for the first time in 23 years. It's only been in the last 6 years that my buddy switched to the lower bowl. Previously, we had terrific seats in the upper level.

Since I'm on a roll, the same demographic totally embarrassed not just the city of Philadelphia, but the entire tradition of the Flyers, with their disgraceful behavior during last night's playoff game.

    Shame. Shame on you all.

I'll have to ask my NYG buddy if he's seen the standing trend ?
I can't picture the NYG oldtimers goin' for that !
    I would hate that.
But I did HATE the small width seats I sat in.
I ain't a wide dude - but when you have to sit sidesaddle because
the architects were ordered to squeeze more seating..........it wasn't enjoyable.

What did the young Flyer fans do last night ?

They threw the giveaway wristbands on the ice plus other debris including a hot dog. It was a disgrace, especially on the night meant to honor Ed Snider and with Gary Bettman in attendance.

I can't stand through an entire football game and neither can my buddy, who is fighting liver cancer. We are going to have to stop going. We had a great run with many good memories.

The live viewing experience has changed, and significantly. Taking in a game at Chavez Ravine now isn't remotely like it was when we were kids. Thankfully the area around the Colosseum is still as sketchy as it's always been.

I will say I LOVE the experience at AT&T Park, even if it is filled with warped people wearing ugly Oregon State colors!

No standing on "great" plays? Yeah, it's definitely time to stay home.
