    Hi there,

In may I'm returning to Vegas once again but this time it Will be 5 of us.
I read About the two promo's for new players: 500 on us in the plaza and 200 on us in tropicana.
First of all, does anybody know if these promo's are still going on in may?
None of us ever set foot in both properties so we all be signing Up there for the first time.

We are thinking of combining all these promos between us to have A chance at A big win. So Well have 2500$ to go at the plaza and 1000$ at the tropicana.
What machines do you suggest playing at what denomination to have A decent chance to hit something in the 2.5-5k range ( or higher :licklips:).

And then afterwards what would be the best strategy to get A good return on the freeplay for those who lost their 500 or 200$?

    Thanks alot!

I remember seeing a request for an update on the Tropicana deal and haven't seen one yet. May be gone, otherwise I will try to get in on it with my buddy next month.

The good return to get your cash back out is usually video poker jack or better. Simple strategy on a 9 6 is your best bet.

    Just got back

Just got home from Vegas. Tropicana does not have the $200.00 rebate anymore. You get a random prize envelope between $10.00-$1,000 free play or some other prizes. We both got $10.00 free play envelopes so I assume that's what most get.
Plaza does have the $500.00 rebate, but you only get a rebate for half of your losses and can only get $250.00 a day or something to that effect. So to get $500 rebate you need to lose $1,000 of own money and redeem free play over 2 days. Still not a horrible deal if you want to try for a big hit with your $1,000 and then play JoB with the $500.00 if you can return the next day. I did not spend a dime in the Plaza gambling after paying for a very weak drink.
    Hope that helps

So you are going to play in hopes of losing $500?

It's only on half your losses now??? It was 100% last I heard... If you lose $500 on day 1...you would get $250 free play on day 2...and $250 free play on day 3. So as long as you went back the next two days, you got all your losses back in freeplay.

No. It's a shot of winning $1000+ with minimal risk (as long as you're willing to return the next two days to play off the freeplay). Unfortunately every loss rebate I've tried, I have ended up being a net loser. :( G/f won about $150 or so via the Cosmo $100 rebate though (RIP).

First off, the chances of a big win are exactly the same if you each kick in $200 cash, or play the promo deal. Play is play. And, in the end, most do not get a big win - this is Vegas.

The rules vary, but usually you have to lose the $200 and then they they give you freeplay to try again. Sometimes that is for the next day. In any event, they do not give you money upfront. You play with your money until your loss hits the level of the freeplay offer.

As to strategy of what to play - if anybody here knows, please share. LOL!

I think this is totally different from playing with 500$ of your OWN money. I would never play the same way with my own money the way I would play with this money because basically its A free gamble of 2500$ in the plaza promo. (Or it might only cost you Some small amount if all of us play smart with the freeplay money)

So what I want to know is what the best strategy would be to have A decent shot at a 2.5k win. Betting 10$ per spin, 20, 50, 100,...
If we hit 2.5 k ,this player can stop his 500 on us promo and we all have 500$ pocketed.

A big plus is the fact that you have 5 individual shots at a big win this way. If player 1 hits, he stops and all of us have A share of the win. And player 2 can still give it another shot. But if player 1 loses his 500$ , no problem, player 2 starts and has his shot at the 2.5k + win. He starts again from scratch and does not first have to win the 500$ from player 1 to get even. Same Goes for player 3,4,5...

As long as that works for you, have fun. Seriously, have fun - no slam intended at all.

If I was going to do this solo I would play DDB video poker with my $500. If I got it up to $750 or higher I would bank my win. I would probably play 50 cent level and move to dollars if I lost half my bankroll. I would want a volatile game to give myself a good shot to quit ahead with a few 4oaks.

If I lost my $500 I would use my free play to play a low volatility game like JOB at quarters to try and cash myself out as close to par as I could.

Your info doensn't seem to be correct. I asked A plaza representative to forward me the promotion. It is still 500 loss, 250fp,250fp:

    $500 ON US

"Players club offers the best new-member benefit in town with the $500 on Us loss-rebate promotion"

New Royal Rewards members receive $500 On Us Promotion. Actual slot loss of 100 up to 500 will be reimbursed in free slot play or promotional chips.

    (Ex: 1st day= $500.00 Loss
    2nd day= Receive $250.00 FSP
    3rd day= Receive $250.00 FSP

*Free play must be picked up at players club within 24 hours apart*

That info is correct, except to get the full amount ($500) you have to lose $1,000
I was there last week Wednesday and signed up for a card.

That' how it worked when we used the promotion a few months ago. $500 loss equaled 2 $250 rebates.

I think that's incorrect too. If you lose $500, you get it back just as georgesken said, $250 one day, $250 the next. You do not have to lose $1000 to get $500 back. The promo is only good for $500, so if you lose $500, $1000 or $1200, you'll still only get $500 back.

I also believe the Plaza offer is up to $500 in losses, gets you $250 in free play after 24 hours, and another $250 in 24 hours. This is a nice loss rebate offer. I went to Plaza last month to confirm the details. Please note that rebates are in 24 hour increments. So don't think if you play at 11:00 PM on Friday, you can get half the rebate on Saturday morning and again in Sunday morning on your way to the airport. The reality is you won't be able to get the Sunday rebate until after 11:00 PM. So if you are only coming in to Vegas for the weekend, plan your time accordingly.

Also remember this is new players only -- including every permutation of Plaza prior ownership.

We are in vegas for A week and all of never had A plaza Card.
Does it have to be consecutive 24 hours or can we spread it out over the week?

And any thoughts on my question which denom best to play to get A decent chance to A 2.5k+ win with the total 2.5k between the 5 of us ?

Would bingo win/losses count in this? Do they track bingo? It's a little silly but I am pretty excited to go play bingo in Vegas and hitting the Plaza my first full day because of Bingo and the $500 offer seems like a really good place to start.

    Hey Georgesken!

The way the Plaza rebate works is this. On the 1st day you sign up, we'll track the first 24 hours of your losses, if you lose a minimum of $100 in slots, we'll reimburse 50% in fsp to you on the 2nd day, which you can only pick up after 24 hours of signing up as a New Member, after the next 24 hours, you'll be able to get the other half. Once the Free Play is uploaded on your card, you have One Year to play it till expiration. So technically, long as you pick up the Free play on a certain day, you don't have to play it all at once.

    Hey Fraygul!

I agree with you that bingo is so much fun! Unfortunately, it's TOO MUCH fun that the rebate is only valid for slot losses, but hey! The points you make from bingo can still be converted into Bingo Bucks! Have fun!

Thanks for the reply! I'm not worried about my bingo losses.. I am worried all my bingo winnings will ruin my rebate ;)
