Such an iconic advertising icon. Sad to see him go, felt like he was a staple for the brand...much like the captain for captain morgan, the rabbit for Trix cereal, and the Negotiator for Priceline.

 

Some of the radio commercials were even better than the TV ones. A few left me laughing to tears.

 

Those voice ads were funny.
Stood right out amongst all the garbage, yelling, radio ads.

When this ad campaign first came out I felt it was pretty stupid, but I gotta admit, this guy sold a hell of a lot of beer over the years. The article mentions sales increased by 34%, I thought it was higher. The XX Amber is one of my go to brews on tap.

 

Shatner is even older at 84, 85 late this month. They been grooming Kaley Cuoco from "The Big Bang Theory" to take that over for quite awhile now.

 

Dos Equis guy so handsome. Now they will probably get some baby-faced, clean-shaven little twit to pander to the millenials.
