Golf course opened today!

Looking forward to another long season!

 

Drove by Camelot yesterday, near Cambellsport, the course looked busy and the guys were in shorts. You know we'll pay for this beautiful weather with a giant snowstorm. It's only the second week of March.

 

It was so nice I went for a walk. There are people with dogs and kids out there. Who knew the outer world would remain pretty much the same?

 

Cameltoe! They open when snow is still on the ground.

I'm sure we'll have some snotty weather yet, but not enough to shut the courses down for too long. The season is here!

I play at Rolling Meadows in Fond du Lac.

 

Damn Rush, I just noticed your countdown timer. That's depressing. I hope its a typo.

 

I walked 18 yesterday. Can barely walk today. Beautiful day it was yesterday!

 

It's not a typo, per se. I did it as a joke. I just punched in a large number. Ironically, I checked the other day to see when that day actually was, and it lands on my birthday!

 

One of my local courses sent me e-mail =
they were opening today - with greens playable.
I'm thinking about playing Saturday ?...only a high of
62 predicted.........but I play early a.m. or not all --
it might still be too cold ?....I'll be checking that forecast the rest of the week --
big factor is WIND.

But I brought shorts to work - so I can wear them at the golf range while
I hit balls after work. ....about 70 degrees today.
I gotta start slowly - so I keep my lower back okay.
It's such a tease - to just go do, too much - at the start of warm weather.

I need a new grip on my driver - been saying that since last season !

 

Played 5 rounds in SC ,got back today. Three different courses ,scores ranged from 90 to 79 ,from the front or "senior tees,but not horrible considering I havent played since November.

 

Here in South Florida the courses are always open. Can't wait for the time to change this weekend, so I can start to get in 9 after work.

 

I'm so thankful to live in a place where we have good weather through the year. I couldn't go for shoving the sticks in the closet for x months. Malibugolfer and I played Ojai a bit more than a week ago -- good weather, great old school layout. Then I popped down to the desert and got in a round at Vintage Club.

We might hop on over to our course here in a bit, get in a bit of exercise and chase the little white pill.
