I'm finally going to be going back to Vegas after missing my annual trip last year. I was nervous about getting room comps because of my mlife tier credits reseting and now only being a pearl member at this time. I usually go once a year and end up making gold in a 3 day trip. But with no trip last year I started to see my offers diminish. I as gold was used to Vip check in and limo service to and from the airport. But now I was only getting offers for sun -Thurs. we want to go over a weekend. I sent a text message to the host at mgm that helped set stuff up for me last trip. After 3 days without no reply back I assumed that I was nothing to her now and should explore other options. I have been receiving emails from a guy at Mandalay Bay so I emailed him and told him what I had got in the past and he was kind enough to offer a regular room but no other perks. (limo or Vip check in). I then figured maybe I should try something other than mlife properties. There has been a lot of talk about mgm resorts trying to save money. So I emailed a host at TI. I told her about past play. How many tier credits I normally earn in a weekend trip and what games I like to play. I was offered a comped room for one night and casino rate for the others. And of course she would evaluate my play at the end and comp off what she could. I thanked her but politely rufused her offer as I knew what I was getting from Mandalay bay. I was feeling pretty bummed about the whole thing. And then out of the blue I got a text from the host at mgm. Said she was out of the office and just saw my text. I got set up as usual from her. Even the Vip check in. Which for some reason is my favorite thing. Just makes me feel good. So now all is right in the world. And yes you don't have to be platinum to get Vip check in. I may be the only pearl in there with all you platinum and noir players. This also goes to prove that I believe the tier credits you earn and how you earn them may mean more than what level you are.

Isn't VIP check in for Gold as well?

Yes. I just remember reading on here the other night that some thought it was for platinum and up only. I also find it funny how one place would do it for me and one not.

I suppose it's because the hosts from other properties didn't have any history with you. Glad it worked out for you.

There's a difference between VIP check in and the Gold/Platinum check in line.

Maybe so. However they are both mlife properties so a would think they all can see your play history. But maybe I'm wrong.
