That's it, no fluff. What do you earn annually? The survey maintains anonymity, so there's no need to post your actual income.

Please save flames for campfires. It's interesting to know where the bankrolls originate.

How about you go first? Promises of secrecy on the internet are not exactly foolproof are they.

Certainly not if there's a single vote and I started the poll. I'll jump in, an absolute promise.

Household is probably the best measurement. Spousal income comes into play when assembling bankrolls.

I don't know why anyone would be sensitive to participating in this poll. It's not asking for a specific dollar amount or your 2014 or 2015 tax returns, just a range. Granted I don't think it's necessarily anyones business what I exactly make, if someone found out I wouldn't be offended.

With that said this is an interesting and could be very informative poll. I would like to not only see the the spread of incomes but I would also like to see a poll with it for bankroll. Maybe something along the lines of "If you were taking a 3-day trip how much would you bring for bankroll?" or "How big is your daily bankroll?" Another interesting poll would be "what table or machine minimums do you play?" or "what is your minimum bet?"

Not always. My husband doesn't like "our money" going to Vegas with me.

So, spousal income comes into play when playing the financial version of whack-a-mole, which directly impacts your bankroll.

I am more curious to know ones daily budget % based on annual salary.
For example, my daily budget is 2% of my yearly income alone.

Wow, is that gambling or all expenses? I think if I include everything, including hotel, food, amortized airfare, and gambling, I'm at about 0.5%. I'm also a low-roller gambler.

That said I have a strong argument with the wife to add to the roll!

My income level is also the one most frequently selected by other respondents (100-150k). For some reason, I was heartened to see that; I imagine there's a whole other psychological study to be done about why a given person would feel comfortable/uncomfortable to make the same money as other people. I wonder why I care.

    Love this thread.

The brokest I have ever been in my life was when me and the ex wifes income was over 100k.

You have to factor in the expenditures as well so that is kind of the turd in the punch bowl.

I love life now. few bills, single, 2 incomes all to myself and currently working on a third.

Ding ding ding.... we have a winner. What's earned must be measured in context with what's going out. And, one must also factor in savings (or equity) as well to more fully round out whether one is financially healthy or not.

I know too many people who earn $100G+ who aren't liquid or building wealth. They're burning it up as they go. Like we saw with the "dot com" bust, they're the first people to lose it all when a recession hits. Keeping up with the Joneses is a sure way to bury yourself financially.
