Which is better? What rooms do you prefer? I'm looking for a room with two beds that is going to be comped. My host said he'd comp it, just wondering what I should request.

Encore's rooms are bigger. Wynn's are more aesthetically pleasing (IMO).

If you're only interested in comparing rooms, I'd give Encore the slight edge. But six of one...

The Encore rooms might be larger by square feet, but the Wynn Rooms feel bigger. We also like the pool and the casino more at Wynn. Zoozackracker is one of our all time favorits when it comes to quick meals. But to be honest you won´t be disappointet with either the wynn or the encore, and the walk between the two isn´t bad at all

I liked Encore because the casino seemed more intimate but I haven't been since that Player's Club was introduced so I may be choosing Wynn in the future. Keep in mind, there is going to be a significant amount of construction going on over on the Wynn side for a good portion of 2016 and part of 2017.

I'm more concerned with the rooms, and which are better for two people.

    Wynn

Playing I prefer Wynn, of the 2 for playing.

Encore rooms are nicer, but play is counted in either casino

If your a Satanist or really like gambling in Red Hell=Encore

My Wife refuses, & makes her feel un-lucky.

I just returned from Encore. I prefer the Wynn rooms a bit because the windows are totally viewable from the bed (it's one big open room), but Encore is bigger and more suite-like. There is a partial divider between the bed and living area with a big opening where the TV rests and blocks the view of the couch/windows from the bed (but can be swiveled around to open up the view). At least in my room it was.

If you are looking for 2 beds, I'm thinking maybe Encore would be the better choice as there are somewhat 2 separate areas.

However I think I've read here that there aren't many 2 beds at Encore.

I just looked at the floor plan for a double in both Wynn and Encore. The Encore double is not split into 2 areas like the King is. Encore is about 100 sq. feet larger so if I was looking for a double I'd go with Encore.

I just returned from a couple nights at Encore, so here is what I can say about that room. The room is spacious, and does give the allusion of a separate bedroom, but I found the couch a bit awkward for watching tv the way it was situated, plus I did find the bed a bit firm for my liking. Cocktail service was definitely better on the Wynn side, so much so that my wife received a phone call from a person in management to discuss it. And the above posters are right, if you don't like red, don't stay on the Encore side.

The Wynn announced that they were going to be building, Wynn Plaza, a new retail area that includes restaurants and bars in the former space occupied by the Ferrari dealership and the relocation of the poker room to the Encore. Slated to open in Fall 2017, the new space is expected to be 75,000 square feet in size.

i like the walk from Encore to Wynn. It's no more then 5-7minute walk throughout the entire casino. So if you like more peace than Encore is for you. Wynn is nice though, as people have mentioned. Their casino floor is much more lively (IMO) and their pool is superior in size and ambiance (less smokers there too, more family, and a nice adult section with tables/bar at the back). Also the poker room is on the Wynn side as well as several of the restaurants like SW and buffet.

IMO I would stay at Encore again even though I've never stayed specifically at Wynn. I liked walking by the giant flower and XS club at night and people watching. Plus the quiet gambling might be a pro at some points as well.

I can't really say for the room itself. I think both are similar in layout/amenities, so that won't be an issue regardless of where you stay.

Not currently. Encore now has a poker room where Society Cafe used to be. The Wynn poker room was closed when I was there 2 weeks ago, but no idea if that's temporary or permanent.

Oh, thanks for the info. I'll be staying there in November but havn't been there since the remodel. I think it might be permanent from what I read.

You know, the funny thing is... The first time we went into Encore I thought the same thing and especially thought the red crab like chandeliers were just too much. Now I have grown to really like the red and the warm feel it gives to the casino along with the contrast against the white. Although I recently read that they removed the chandeliers but I can't remember if they were still red or if they were changed a while back to white or if I'm mixing the two up between Wynn and Encore? Re: the rooms... That's a personal choice I think depending if you like a more open or more segregated layout. They're both over the top gorgeous.

It is permanent, it is going to be part of the retail renovation that's being done to the Ferrari dealership space.
