Getting "casino rate" at Boyd properties?

I've been a Boyd cardholder for about 1.5 years, have logged circa 80 hours of play... almost exclusively blackjack, mostly at the mid red chip level, but have played some green there too.

I'm planning on going to Vegas for a Wed-Sun trip some time next month, and wanted to see if this level of play (as low as it may be) would stand to qualify me for a room at the "casino rate". I can't imagine I'd be comped a room at this level of play, but I'd certainly appreciate a break on the cost of the room.

If this is something I'd qualify for, how would I go about getting it? And how would casino rate compare to "retail" rates?

I would log into your B-connected account and check out your offers. After logging in go to the casino you have played at the most and check out the offers. You can search all of their casinos for offers.

I have not played at a Boyd property since 2014, and got offered 2 days comped for free in Feb at Gold Coast. I booked the last 2 days of Feb for free. Sounds like our play is the same, but I only played for about 4 hours 1 day in 2014.

In March they had a offer as well, but it did not fit my schedule.

Wow, lucky! I've just logged in and the best I can get is rooms "starting at $35" rather than rooms "starting at $38". Some 20% and 25% off promos too. Still a better deal than booking elsewhere so I think this will make a difference. Thanks for the suggestion!

Out of interest, do you suppose that I might be considered an "unattractive" player to receive a comp offer since I'm Canadian (and thus less likely to come to Vegas on a whim), and because I play a relatively "tight" game of blackjack?

There are plenty of canadians on here that frequent Boyd and get comps. I would say it's more about playing only Blackjack at a relatively low level as it won't generate much theo.

To get casino rate at Boyd offstrip, you barely need a pulse because that's what I have. I get $80 weekends at Gold Coast which is a bit of a knockoff for most weekend. Not sure about downtown.

With B Connected, you are guaranteed a rate with a bit of a discount based on your card level. I don't know if that rate is better than the rates when they are running a sale and I think their last promo just ended. I can't promise you a surefire way to get a free room but this is what I do know. They aren't going to offer you comped rooms from a hotel you've never played in so playing at Orleans won't trigger a comp from Gold Coast. It helps to pick a home casino. And for small frys from out of town, you are going to have to make multiple visits, preferably in one trip, to get their attention in the first place and that may just be more discounted rates.

It's likely a teaser, but I was sent free nights for Sams Town, Orleans and Gold Coast despite never stepping foot in any of them. I've only ever played at MSS and SAMs Town Shreveport. If I drop in I will do 500 to 1200 points worth of play. So nothing too much.

Yeah, I got a free room teaser this summer at Gold Coast, and I don't think I ever earned more than 400 points a day there (1 point = $1 coin-in). Used the free rooms in August, now back to things like $35 weekday/$80 weekends. But $80 weekends is still like about 25% off of retail.

Just back from SB weekend @ Gold Coast.
Spent Sat to Tues nite in a suite.
    I put on 6000, 6500, 6500, 3100, playing mostly .50 VP.
Host took care of my suite upgrade and meals.

I get offers from Orleans, GC, and MSS regularly.
