Trip Cancelled, Damm Infection

I was readying myself for a trip on the 14th Feb and now it has gone. Just got back home after 10 days in hospital with a leg infection and still sore and unable to walk, so no chance of getting to Vegas. I'm insured so financially not losing out but it will feel so bad next week when I should be going. I thought that I would now have to wait till end of May for the next trip, but wife has said we should be able to work it so I can get a trip sorted once back on my feet.

Take care of yourself. Vegas will still be there waiting when you're healthy and ready.

 

That really sucks. My wrist infection returned after my surgery on 12/20 and I am now now on a new batch of antibiotics.
I'm getting a little concerned when you read about all these new super germs and their resistance to antibiotics.

 

I've had a few trips to the hospital for stays and one was for surgery, also 10 days AND nights!! That's a long stay for sure. Like said above, Vegas will still be there when you get better. Just get better .....

I have had to x out a few due to injury and I hate it!

I totally understand! Been there more than once...cancelling for medical reasons. Vegas will be there when you are ready. Just remind yourself how much your vaca would have sucked with you in pain and not being mobile. I had to cancel my last trip ( Sept 2015 ) due to medical reasons. I will finally get there in April and can't wait!

Once again thanks for the messages, I have put in for some days off at work for mid March, hopefully back to fitness by then and it gives me something to work towards.

 

Well the March plan has gone out the window but I have now booked for April and flying with Virgin, I have flown with them before but this will be the first time I flown to Vegas with them.

I usually fly Virgin, and their Vegas service is good, ime.

 

Really not too bad. Only a small slippage in the dates.
When the trip arrives you will be glad you waited as you should be feeling much better.

 

Well just a week to go and can't wait, it has seemed like forever waiting for this trip. Also a good thing with having to rearrange this trip, it means 2 trips in 2 months. :banana:
