When is the best time to book for Caesars Palace?

Our 25th anniversary is June 15th. we honeymooned at the Sahara and said we'd like to have our 25th anniversary at Caesars. Well, that time is here.
i'm trying to figure out when is the best time to book. I'm using MyVegas stuff for the 13th and 14th at Vdara. Being a tightwadm i'm trying to get
the best deal possible. I'm a total rewards member, but not enough of a member to get any really good deals.

Any info would be great

 

Personally I'd reserve the cheapest room I could find there with a free cancellation and then see if I could get it cheaper over the next few months. CP is an expensive hotel at any time of year if you have to pay for the rooms though.

 

Unless your going for purposes of nostalgia or getting a pretty good CET casino rate I'd pass on CP. It's an okay place and the Laurel Collection rooms are nice enough, but if I had to pay prevailing internet rates I would pass
and try to get Wynn, Venetian / Palazzo, Bellagio or Aria to celebrate such a milestone. The room and service at CP still falls short in comparison to their neighbors. They are trying but the value is not there at say $189 to $250 a night rate.

 

You can save plenty by booking the best nights of the month.

Go to various hotels and look at the MONTHLY rate calendar. You will quickly see when they are apt to do deals and are not. The same room can go from $59 a night to $400 and more based on demand.

 

Caesars prices move around a lot. So the rule is always book now and keep checking.

I will say that on my last two trips, rates for Thurs - Fri - Sat came down significantly about a month before arrival, but I can also tell that those were dates they needed to fill cause I also had targeted freeplay promos for them.

 

Just an FYI - That week and leading into the weekend (June 12-19), room rates are inflated due to that Electric Daisy Carnival thing.

 

I wouldn't do Caesars. You can get a nicer room at Cosmopolitan for the same price and I think that's a nicer property. If you're going to do CET I'd do Cromwell.

 

No offense to anyone but she asked for advice on booking at Caesars, not whether she should book there or somewhere else. We all have our preferences and they aren't the same.

I'll echo the advice here, get the best rate now and then keep looking, you can always cancel and rebook.

 

Agreed! Caesars is a beautiful hotel and I'm sure you'll be happy there. You may not gamble a lot but it's still worth it to log into your total rewards account and look at the calendar. If your husband is also a TR member, put his number in too. Have fun and happy anniversary!

 

I would suggest calling to talk to someone versus trying to book online and tell them you are celebrating your 25th anniversary and do it as soon as possible. Try to get either a room in the Augusta or Octavius tower, since those are the nicest. Caesars is a great property with a great location. Good luck and congratulations on your milestone.

 

Sorry, I quantified the comment of " i'm trying to get the best deal possible." beyond Caesars. But true if that's where they want to mark the occasion, that's where they should. Early booking with best guaranteed rate means skipping the CET reservation engine sometimes.

This is a message board and it is often helpful to provide additional information to posters that may not know the "big picture".
A discussion was started. It is not wrong to offer additional information.

As to the comment about calling vs online - I would SURELY look over various rates and dates online. Chances are you may get the same thing calling in, but it would be good to know in advance what the going rates are.

Again, even though the OP mentioned Caesars, we have seen folks REPEATEDLY starting out with one idea and ending up with something else once they had more information - often provided by the folks here.

To second that earlier comment, keep in mind that Electric Daisy Carnival week starts on June 15th. Rates will be up and a bunch of us crazy kids will be on the strip.

 

omg i saw that! wish we could go another week. i've seen the news about them. scary (and i don't scare easy)

after reserving Harrahs, we got a better deal at CP and decided to stay there (cancelling Harrahs)

On my last Vegas trip, we stayed at Caesars. We booked a comp room in the Forum Tower and they upgraded us to the Octavius Tower for free. Caesars Palace has some really nice rooms and their pool area -- called the Garden of the Gods -- is breathtaking. I highly recommend staying there.

 

Check back in from time to time. Rates sometimes go down and you can get a better deal. Stuff happens.

If you can afford to pay the deposit this early, lock in a rate through the rate calendar now, and then check in periodically. If it goes down call and ask for the better rate. I'd keep checking until a couple of weeks out.

 

I would surely hope that anyone that is going to Vegas can afford a deposit. Whew....

 

Ok afford was the wrong word. Some people don't like parting worth a deposit six months before their stay especially when they are likely to change the reservation later. And some people can 'afford' it but it is inconvenient for their cash flow.
