Taking some first timers to Vegas (all guys aged 23) and would like to find a fun restaurant with a view of the strip. where is recommended?
We are staying at the cosmo and would like to have a drink and split some apps or get a steak, burger, chicken, somewhere up high.
my first thought would be The STRAT , or the foundation room at mandala just because that is the furthest north and south but perhaps it would be a better view from somewhere in the middle "closer to the action" so maybe the Eiffel Tower? any other options i am missing?

Voodoo at Rio would also be an option.

Hello...I have to recommend Oscar's at the Plaza.Couple years ago a previous Casino Host recommended we try Oscar's Steak house.Wow were we ever so impressed with the feel of the place, the food was amazing and the view of Famous Fremont Street is Awesome!.But go in the evening when all the glittery lights are on.

You have my word you'll have a Awesome time.If you do visit the Plaza Casino ask to meet the new casino host there goes by 'Yolla' .I have not yet to meet her,but from reading here on this site she is very nice lady.

    Enjoy your trip to Vegas!!

Foundation Room is a must-do for me every trip to Vegas. Drinks on the patio with that backdrop, jaw-dropping...

It's not a high view, but Lago is on my list for the fountain-side dining at Bellagio. I also like the views from the patio at Mon Ami Gabi, fountains and all the people watching as the world strolls by.

    Nighttime at Eiffel Tower.

Just looked that who you were taking.

    1)Not "fun", just romantic
2)Party of more than two wouldn't get a window view.

Oscar's is one of my favorite restaurants. Having said that, if you're going there for the view, it's been significantly impacted by the new Main Street stage erected last year. It's much taller than the old stage (to accommodate the zip line landing) and blocks what used to be a straight line-of-sight down FSE.

Top of the world is a nice resteraunt with great rotating views. It is a high end resteraunt however. So it's got that stuffy feel to it.

I would recommend Foundation Room or Skyfall. Both have great views and drinks and apps. It's more lively too.

I agree with this. Not high up like Eiffel Tower, but the tower isn't really a place for a bunch of guys to eat together IMO. You can see pics of the views at Lago in my TR from October. Fantastic view and solid food. Then, go to Foundation room for drinks and the high up view

How do you think it got on "my list"? Now I just need to pick some dates and book a trip already. :)

Agree with previous posters Sonya and Packer.
Was at Top of the World three weeks ago for a birthday celebration .We were a party of 8 and it was a nice experience.
The birthday girl requested it and everyone enjoyed.Caught the end of two for one happy hour one floor above the restaurant so that started the night out good.

Lago is my other favorite view. Not the Panorama from the Top of the World but maybe more spectacular as it is on the fountains.

Alize at the Palms offers a fantastic view with fine food.

My fourth choice would be Voo Doo Steak at the Rio.
The food does not compete with the others but if your looking for casual, this will do fine.
It's been a couple years but you used to get free access to the VooDoo lounge if you ate there.the outside patio is a great spot for anyone who has not been there.

 Try and schedule for a time when you will get the most fountain performances. It really was fantastic to see from that vantage point

I will recommend PBR bar at PH for great people watching and bar food, If you can get a spot on the outside rail at Cabo Wabo also at PH it is a cool place to people watch and take in Vegas. Jimmy Buffets outside space is also good. For dinner, we had a great experience when we were lucky enough to get a seating outside at Olives in Bellagio with a great view of the fountains every 20-30 mins and some great old time Vegas music....Sinatra, Dean etc. Good Luck.

Our go to for the guys, when we were younger, used to be Nove at Palms followed by Playboy Club and Moon. Nove is still good but Playboy is closed so not sure if that's an option. Mandarin bar for fancy drinks and a great view. The new Beer Park at Paris looks like it will have a nice view as well

Not high up but Ruth's Chris at Harrahs has tables that overlook the strip and can be fun to people watch.

In this instance, Twin Peaks may fit the bill. Fun atmosphere, cold brews, beautiful view and the Strip looks nice too ;)

As an alternative to Foundation Room, check out Rivea at Delano, Alize & Nove at the Palms really do offer stunning views of the strip.

I love both the fountain view in the outside tables at Lago. The food is great too.
