    Hey Everyone!

I just completed my fourth visit to the Linq since it re-opened under that name in November 2014. I know it's been discussed her several times that the elevators were complete garbage aka VERY slow. I just wanted to let you guys know that during my stay last weekend, the elevators seemed much improved. I never ONCE found myself waiting more than a few minutes for an elevator, and that was even with one of the back "additional" elevators being down for my entire stay.

I know it's probably not a big deal to most, and the elevators never prevented me from staying at the Linq, but I'm sure there will be more than a few people here happy to hear that the elevators have been much improved.

I have stayed at the Imperial Palace, Quad and The Linq more than 30 times in the last ten years.. I have never had any real problem with the elevators. I guess I have been lucky.
In December the elevators were a pleasure to use. As you say, they have been refurbished.

I love it there. From July to December, there were a few more upgrades I can talk about. For diamond members, you now get free drinks at the 3535 bar without gambling from 4-7. The diamond check-in people told me there was a special menu but when I went to the bar they told me I could have whatever I wanted. You also get a +1 so a friend can have a free drink with you. diamond members also get free soda in glass bottles from the diamond check in (pepsi, diet pepsi, mist?, and mountain dew). During the week, there are also mini cupcakes from Sprinkes in the diamond check-in. Hardly a diamond lounge, but better than it used to be.

Another weird thing I experienced this trip was the delivery of Jelly Belly jellybeans and water on the nightly basis. I stayed in a queen suite and am a diamond member, so I'm sure one of those had something to do with it, but each night around like 8pm a girl would come to my door with two new bottles of water and a small box of Jelly Bellys. When I arrived to the room on day one there was a large box of jelly bellys. I called front desk before eating them to make sure I didn't have to pay haha but you don't.

I also can't stress enough how great The Yard House is, which is in the Linq promenade area. Monday to Friday from 3pm-6pm is happy hour and the deals are amazing. Pizza is $6. Chicken Fingers and Fries are $6. Yards of beer are $10 while pints are as low as $5. Prices are obviously a little more outside of those hours on weekends, but during happy hour, almost everything is a steal

Damn, that one back elevator was down when I was there back in early November.

Thanks for the tip on the yardhouse happy hour.

Great news here. I'm staying at the Linq for the first time on March 16th! I've been a Ballys and Paris guy for over a decade!

The one time I stayed there we had to use the elevator in the back right (past casino cage, bathrooms and fat tuesday(drink place)) and it was a complete disaster. When we checked out, we ended up taking the stairs because every time the elevator came to our floor, it was completely full. We are going in September, and i'm hoping this is all resolved. We are staying in a deluxe two bed room with a strip view, so i'm thinking it won't be that bank of elevators. Were those the ones that used to have issues?

    Thanks!

I think this is hysterical. That is exactly why I would never stay at the Linq. I was frightened by the elevators! I had to stay one night after a Cher concert years ago and I was really horrified. I never went back.

Maybe I'm too picky or just plain spoiled but "a few minutes" is MUCH too long to wait for an elevator! I'm used to the ones at work coming in 15 seconds or so.

Last time I stayed at the Flamingo I timed it, sorta, by counting seconds, and the longest I remember was 29. At Sams Town over the holidays it was usually 15-20 seconds or so (LOL, with that VERY loud BEEEEEeeeeep on the lower floors) and at Westgate at the center bank it was never longer than 30 seconds or so.

I liked the Linq, I would stay there again if I couldn't afford Wynncore. I agree about Yardhouse, great food, great beer and vibe. Lastly, take the extra elevators! It was magical how the main elevators would suck but the extra ones were fast.

Last time I stayed there, on Friday and Saturday even the "secret" extra ones took forever to arrive!
