Going down to Vegas in May for 4 nights at Aria
What do you guys think is the better play?

Playing dollar VP cycle through 120k for gold identity
Would get a few comp rooms at Cosmo. I have young kids and maybe can make one trip a year so expiration of comps might be an issue.

Play mlife and finish gold or grind platinum. I'm still facing expiration issues but maybe I can still get decent offers.

I have heard not to play for comps so can just grind poker room and casual VP but do like achieving levels.

    Thanks VMB crew.

Tier benefits at Cosmo far outstrip MLife, as long as you can make another trip within a year to use them.

Sterling gives you 1 free night on top of any marketing offers, Gold gives you 2 free nights and a 2x multiplier on points on machines.

Mlife gives no free nights and adds a 0.1x multiplier on points at each tier level.

The Cosmo gold and platinum tier multipliers are only on slots, not video poker.

Cosmo has significantly better VP options than most mlife locations, so that should be taken into account as well

Yep there is some nice 0.10 100 play BP at 99.17%
Mlife has similar paytables at the dollar level but i don't think aria is that easy to get comp rooms as one of their top tier properties.

And playing 10 hands on that machine would smooth out some variance versus single line dollars.

But remember the golden rule, don't chase comps. If you won't be back for over a year those "free" rooms at Cosmo are worthless. If 120k coin in is something you normally do over 4 nights, then play where you'd like to stay in the future. Don't over extend yourself just for a room comp. based on past experience, that level of coin will get you marketing offers from Cosmo. You'd get no worse than 2 nights any day of the week and probably 4 nights in a marketing offer. Add in the two nights for gold and you would have 4 to 6 nights to use within the year.

Awesome advice i did not even think of marketing offers maybe once the wife looks at something that says free she will jump all over that.

120K coin in at Mlife won't make you to Platinum.
If you want to compare room offers from Aria/Bellagio vs Cosmo, I think Cosmo is much easier to get.
