Double Booking Rooms?

I have offers from the Fremont and The D. I prefer to stay at The D, but am considering double booking at the Fremont for the free play and dining comps. If you double book a room, do you actually go to/use the second room, or just check in/out, having never been to the room? I don't really want to use the second room, but if I don't and get caught, what happens?

 

I dont see why you couldn't at least go into and out of the room (with computer key cards, they would know, dont know if they care or check). It is the play they want though, if you take a room and dont play then it'll hurt future offers no doubt.

 

They wont care if you actually go into the room or not. I always get multiple rooms and usually just stay in one place though. Take the shampoos and water bottles out of each one and take them home with you lol.

 

I have to use a mobility scooter these days, so it's a bit more of a pain in the..........neck.............to get up and down to the room. I can do it....just trying to decide if it's worth it or not. For instance, I go to Vegas twice a year....if I don't use the room offer at the Fremont this time, but do gamble there........will they reduce my offer? Sometimes I get room/food, sometimes I get room/$$ and sometimes I get all three. I can't figure out why the changes....since I give them about the same play each trip. Just trying to maximize my options. However, I will say I had NO luck at the Fremont in September, so was possibly considering taking my play elsewhere in February.

As to the scooter... the effort is much more than going to the next door casino. Ride to elevator. Ride up. Down the hall and back.

Why different offers each time? A wide range of reasons. Some are logical (average play), some not so much (marketing whim, time of year, moon). In the end, ADT is he biggest factor.

 

Same here booked the Golden Nugget and Main Street for the same three days. They are so close by I just go up to the room at Main Street and relax for awhile then gamble each day and stay at the Nugget and get my free rooms there no problems last few years

 

What about if you book a room for 3 nights but check out in second night, will they ding you for no play after you check out or not?

 

Don't you have to pay the resort fee or whatever it is called even on comped rooms? if so it doesn't seem to be worth it.

The only person who knows you weren't in the room is the maid, and she's not complaining. I visit the room, put a sit down on the bed and steal the soap. A lot of better Vegas stories have come from the same room usage. What this does to your comps, I don't know. I think it's better to use a comp than not, but to take a room and some credits with no play might be a negative. But at this point in my life I take it all, who knows if I will be here next week!

 

For my next trip I am double booking too, one downtown and one on the strip. Figure this way, we can party either area, take advantage of the "free" cash, and have a place to crash. Have a great trip!

 

Does the Freemont require a stay to get the free play and dining credit ?

 

I double book all the time, but of course it has to be from different establishments (if you are using offers/comps). I usually travel with my friends, so if I book a room for us at a Mlife property, then I would double book the second room at a TR property. We usually use the second room as the "boom boom" room, but there are times the second room is vacated the whole stay.

That's a shame.

 

I am double booked in April. My daughter and son in law will be using one of the rooms.
