Would I find cheaper rates on the strip in June or July? Also, best buffets that aren't too pricey? Thanks so much for any information.

There are a few conferences in June so some places are sky high prices for some dates, and wsop is on into July so be surprised if you would get cheap then.

You would be better to give exact dates then you could check on the poker/conference schedules to see if it is likely to be busy/pricier.

Most of the hotels will display the rates for entire month. From that information, you will see how rates are running. Any spikes are due to weekends and events. Book your trip around that.

Not sure what is considered pricey for buffet, but, the less expensive a hotel tends to be is directly related to buffet cost.

July is generally cheaper because it's hotter in Vegas in July than June.

We were in Vegas July 3 to 8 a couple years ago. The fireworks are pretty cool if you can handle crowds.

Mandalay Bay is a good mid-priced buffet.

July 3 will be way more expensive than a normal Sunday night, because July 4 is a holiday. The rest of that week, rates should be good. July and August are the cheapest months (some hotels may have higher rates than others on some dates because of events).

The link given by Buffalo above is a great start.

I have modified the link to start on July 3rd for you.

Check Groupon, living social and such for buffet deals. PH was just on there.

If you play games like myVegas on Facebook you can get a 2 for 1 buffet at Aria or Bellagio.
