A retired AC cop is suing Mc Cormick &Schmicks in AC because he suffered svere injury and pain after drinking Sam Adams draft there. Claims the beer contained the solution used to clean out the lines. The guy got violently ill, spent a week in the hospital and lost a part of his stomach. We go there for happy hour ,but I drink the Blue Moon.

Yikes. But how much of it did he drink? I would hope he could taste the difference before getting that sick. Beer out of dirty taps sucks too. Last time I was at Blue chip in Indiana, I asked the bartenders to just smell the beer. It smelled like banana. The previous beer was a banana beer, and the effects of the previous beer on the tap still lingered. [emoji107]

That's what I was thinking. I hope I would smell or taste it pretty quick.

Apparently not, right? If you, or I, or anyone, I hope, started drinking a drink that tasted like chemical, we would send it back out of survival instinct. I think a lot of cleaners nowadays are less caustic, which I assume would make it taste and smell less poisonous.

The poor bastard lost part of his stomach. Either way, I feel sorry for the guy.

Ever chugged a beer down? I mean in one sweep. You all know that it's possible in a blink of an eye. We used to have contests on this when I was younger.

It's quite possible that this is why the poor fellow couldn't tell something was amiss before it was too late.

He didn't sip it. He CHUGGED it.
