    My Trip Report

So to start with I wasn't planning to do a trip report but took a few pictures through out my trip and figured I would share with everyone here. This was my annual guys trip that we take in December for a few days. We booked the the Fremont as they were having a cheap deal on rooms at buy one night get one night free and a few of the guys are very low rollers. Total price after all fees and taxes was $36.96, kind of hard not to take that deal, and also knowing I should be able to easily get that comped off with some play. Booked direct flights on Southwest and with earlybird I was A24 for the flight out. Bankroll for the trip was $3,000, got my stuff all packed up and ready for the flight.

Was able to snag the exit row and enjoy a few drinks on the plane.

Landed in Vegas and our Limo was waiting for us. Quick drive and we arrived at the Fremont and we were able to check in at 10:30am with no issues at all. the room is small but it was clean and the bed was comfortable, all I can ask for on a guy's trip.

Dropped $2,000 off in the safe and went out to get lunch and get our gamble on. We had lunch at Pizza Rock and it was amazing as always. We gambled our way up and down Fremont playing mostly Blackjack with me playing at the $50 per hand level, sticking to double deck tables. By the time we decided to have dinner I found myself down $1,000. This was not how I had planned for the first day to go, I did manage $7k coin-in on the video poker at Fremont. No big hands but a few quads here and there, nothing picture worthy though as they were all 5-K variety. We decided to have dinner at Magnolia's for the Prime Rib special. I found it to be very good . Decided to take $400 out of Monday's money and try to win a few bucks back, well that went very poorly and I also lost that $400. Around 1am I decided to call it a day and go to bed down $1400.

Woke up nice and early on Monday at 7am, showered and we headed to Du-Par's for breakfast. I stopped at the players club to see if I had a food comp and i did not but I did get a free set of dice. Once seated for breakfast me and the guys agreed to gamble on the bill. We all rolled the dice and whoever rolled the highest had to buy, thankfully I did not roll the highest. After breakfast we hit MSS for some more video poker and gambling, I did manage 2k coin in and only lost $20. Hit a double deck blackjack table on my way to the cashier to cash in my scratchers. Played one shuffle buying in for $100, cashed out for $515 after the tip. Found myself up $500 on the day and down $900 on the trip.

We then hit the strip for the day and walked around and gambled a bit here and there I broke even for my time on the strip, and we had lunch at the Aria buffet. Food was very good and we ate more crab legs than we probably should have. We used Uber to get back and forth to the strip and the trip down was $12 and the return was $14, very happy with Uber so far.

Got a bit more time in at video poker putting another 5k in but losing a few hundred putting me back down $1100 for the trip. I did hit quad aces and remembered to take a pic, sure wish I had been playing double double because of course I had the kicker.

At this point the night gets a bit blurry but I know we gambled everywhere and hit the tables hard. I found I was down to my last $300 for the night meaning I was down $2100 for the trip as I left $600 in the safe. I had decided I was going to hit the baccarat table hard at the D and see how it shook out. When I got to the table the shoe was mostly played so I asked for a shuffle and got it. When playing baccarat I always bet bank on the first hand, if it hits, I double the bet and ride bank until it loses upping my bet based on the streak. I was the only player at the table and bet $50 on the first hand, dealer flips a natural 8 for player, and a 9 for the bank. Double up to $100 and proceed to ride one of the best streaks I have ever seen. We hit 13 banks in a row. Now I wasn't betting as aggressively as I normally would due to being down most of my bankroll. But after the player hit, paying all my commission, and tipping the dealer I found I had $3000 in front of me. I put $100 on the player to see if we could ride another streak, but bank hit. I was up $500 for the trip, it was almost 2am I bagged the chips and headed to bed.

Tuesday we hit the outlet mall and I spent some cash and got some Christmas presents. Returned to Fremont and did a little gambling but nothing to crazy, played some blackjack and bit of video poker breaking even for the day. Did a total of 16k coin in on video poker at the Boyd properties, hit the host desk and she picked up the room and some small ($20) in room charges. Limo was right on time and we got back to the airport and headed home.

I was very happy to go from down $2100 to up $500. Next trip planned for the Super Bowl, can't wait.

nice comeback, i think any of us that have gambled much has had a similar experience at one time or the other. funny, i've had several trips where i won a bunch of cash but the one trip where i made a huge comeback is still my most memorable.

Nice comeback. As Todd said, the comeback trips seem like they are more memorable than some of the big win trips.

Thanks, I am very happy to have made the comeback. having said that I would much rather win the first day than lose.

Thanks, I wasn't playing the STP though as I never seem to hit anything when I get a multiplyer.

Nope, just cashing them in from last trip. for some reason I didn't bother to cash them in.

Hate to burst your bubble, but you did hit those aces on the 8/5 bonus poker SuperTimesPay, at the Fremont. (I know, cuz it's the only place that has 8/5 in town; unless you were at SouthPoint)
Edit: just got what you meant, you weren't betting for the bonus feature...
In that case, MSS has the same pay scale.

Thanks nate, I'm sure you would have hit a casino for a million or more on a 13 banker run.

My max is 70k, so 13 bank run adding in some fear factor probably 3-400k

Still would have been an amazing pay day. The max at the D is 5k per hand so most I could have won is $65,000 of course that wasnt an issue for me.
