What do you guys think of the movie being made from the book I Heard You Paint Houses? It is going to have Martin Scorsese directing Robert De Niro as Frank Sheeran the guy who says he clipped Hoffa. Al Pacino is going to be in the movie along with Joe Pesci. I have high hopes and think this will be the last great mobster movie of our generation. Probably wont see these guys all work together again.

De Niro with Pacino is worth the price of admission alone. Sadly these two have shared very little screen time together. In fact "Heat" is the only movie I can recall where they both were in some scenes together.

Looking forward to the movie. Let's get a lottery going on what Rolling Stones song(s) Scorsese uses in this flick.

If DeNiro is on screen, I'm watching. Looking forward to this one.

Well, there was also this one:

Had not heard about this new film yet. Pesci is the really interesting and exciting casting for me, since he doesn't really act anymore. Will definitely see it!

I wonder if Scorsese will "go against" type cast ?
Somebody will play the "good guy", right ?
Can't have all 3 playing bad dudes.....in the same movie ?
I just hope DeNiro or Pacino - don't "mail it in".
I don't think they can get away with that, in a Scorsese film, though ?
So, you make Pesci the good cop ?

See, I would have said Billy Batts and Frank Marino.

Which would then make the good guy in this whoever Frank Vincent plays. Now go home and get your shine box.

Casino just turned 20 years old a few days ago. Why do I remember it like it was yesterday? One of my favs.

Although David Spade made a good joke about that movie when it came out on SNL Hollywood Minute:

"Casino. Ca-SEEN-IT. I liked that movie the first time when it was called Goodfellas."

I've did some more looking on the web looks like they were planning this movie back in 2010 but finally it is getting made supposedly this next year. Back in September De Niro confirmed it on Jimmy Fallon. Also back in 2010 Harvey Keitel was going to be in it too. Hopefully Frank Vincent will be in it too. He is great.

Lester Diamond was the good guy in Casino. He didn't get clipped in the movie. I got a friend i call Lester Diamond breaks out the arm and hammer for the ladies lol. My friend says ill be Lester he didn't get killed he is probably still alive somewhere today getting the ladies.

Morrie is the good guy in Goodfellas too. His best line about Jimmy Conway. That cheap cigarette hijacking prick. I want my money.

Alot of movies take years to come to screen.
So many projects being worked on for years.

As a kid, watching TV in the metro NYC area --
I remember seeing the ACTUAL "Morrie's" TV commercials about toupees.
His salon was in Queens, NY + he did jump out of water, in a pool, with the hairpiece in place.
The commercial was played SO MANY times - that's how i remember it.
