Would like to stay at the Ling since the clean up. Have a question about the High Roller Deluxe Room. This room they tell me over looks the new observation wheel. Is that true? If so is there a lot of noise from that direction? If we are on a high floor do you hear a lot of noise. don't mind a little noise but a lot of noise late at night would not work for me. We had stayed here about 5 years ago and the noise didn't really bother us.
I know that the rooms are remodeled at the Ling are the rooms worth the money, could anyone give me info on some of the other rooms available at the Ling.

    Thanks

Can't speak to the High Roller view, but I can speak to another suite I had a couple months ago. In fact, there's another thread going on about the Linq a few posts up that you might find helpful. Overall, I have positive things to say about the Linq. The remodel feels "real" in my opinion. Now, I know it's the old IP because I stayed in the old IP, but not because anything reminded me of it. I stayed in a separate living area suite (I forget the name) that felt crisp and modern. Had a touch of cosmo to it with the modern furnishings. My room overlooked the U-shape walkway between Linq and Harrah's. I was on a high floor and could hear the noise faintly, but it didn't keep me up when I turned in early.

As far as "worth the money" -- depends on how much money. I stayed comp but would pay for the room I had if the dates required it. I had a minor shower issue (documented in the other thread), but in no way thought "if I paid for this, I'd be pissed." I'd give it a try. Good home base, good service.

The "highroller" really does not make any noise. More feedback on the LINQ is in this post

Stayed there in April and was really impressed. As nostress says, there shouldn't be any issues with noise. Drink service in the casino has been some of the best we've had recently (Cromwell is probably #1). The rooms are clean and updated. Only complaint (and its not much of one) is they have a lot of 2 double bed rooms and not 2 queens. Here are a few photos from our room.

I've stayed at the Linq three times and will be back for a fourth time in January. My advice: use your money/comp on a luxury room and not a high-roller view room. The High Roller view isn't great or much better than a normal view and the walk from the elevators is ENORMOUS. With a luxury room, you'll get a couch and a little more space, including in the bathroom. Money is better spent that way, in my opinion. Others can chime in.

At this moment I am staying in a regular room with strip view and it is definitly loud. 9th floor only. You can clearly hear the music from the bars thumping into the night.

I stayed in a King Suite with a high roller view and the room was great, but at night the high roller has lights on it that change colors that were shining in my window even with the drapes closed.

The Linq is one of the places I'm considering for Feb, I have never stopped here but the location is very good for me. Other ones on the list at moment are TI and Tuscany with Tropicana an outside possibility./

Spent three nights at the Linq this past July. We had a Luxury King room facing the Harrahs pool. Our room was nice, with plenty of space - bathroom was good size. Overall, CET did a nice job with the remodel. The one thing that hasn't changed (for obvious reasons) is the location of the elevators - not sure why it bugs me, but always has since it was the IP - maybe because it's like a funnel of people until you can peel off to the back bank of elevators.

Overall, can't be the "value" and location - wouldn't hesitate to stay again - comped or otherwise.

I like the location of the elevators. You can take them right down to the gift shop, monorail and casino floor, not to mention the check-in desk. Seems like a great location. If only they were a little (or a lot) faster, though the hidden elevators behind the elevators are usually a better bet

Stayed at IP few years ago... no safe in room. Was a first for me in LV! Has Linq installed in room safes now?
