So I joined this board a couple of years back, and to this day I love to read the trip reports and some of the casino action posts. VMB is the bomb.

The issue is that I have been unable to go to Vegas in about 18 months after making twice a year trips the previous couple of years. The wife decided we needed to build a new house and we were way over budget, therefore no gambling funds. 

I do have a trip planned for April for George Straight, but unsure about flights at this point, waiting for Southwest to open the calendar.
I have a trip planned to the Dominican Republic for the week after Christmas and can really only think about my Vegas trip as opposed to the DR, that is mild degenerate in my book.

We have a host at NYNY that will take care of the rooms for three nights anytime and some freeplay but really thinking that a change is in order to stay somewhere else. I am growing tired of that end of the strip. What hotels would you suggest for a craps player and a slot player? Last trip we went from no points to gold at MLIFE mostly on the slot coin in and we play all on my wife’s card in the past but going to change to my card in the future.

    Thanks for the advice!!

I take my craps/blackjack money downtown now.

You may want to try the Mirage---we started staying there about 3 years ago and love it--it is close to everything and we have a great host there.

You may be able to get free rooms by checking your Mlife offers when the time gets closer.
And as far as your cards why not join them and then you can each play on your own cards but still get points added together and the offers will be better

It depends. Are you trying to stay with MLife or switch to CET? If MLife, I highly suggest the Mirage. If you want CET, I would go with the LINQ. It's very underrated, and you can always walk next door to Casino Royale where they have x100 odds.

Thank you for your advice. I am really up for anything, the in-laws have a different host at NYNY and love the place. We just got assigned a new host this year and we will see how that goes for now. I have heard that CET is a little more friendly with comps??? I am thinking about maybe focusing our play at either Mirage or CP this next trip. The NYNY has been great but time for a change.

Another option...we are former CET members who converted over to Wynncore and Mlife about 5 years ago. Since that time, on modest gambling budgets we have made Aria and MB/Delano our Mlife house resort and Encore our Wynncore resort. We usually get 3 nights at both, with some nice free play, food and beverage credits and other goodies. Our combined offers allow us 6 nights comped per trip.

Consistently MB has provided the best value for our gambling dollars.....we like the size of the resort, the variety of food options, CW service, nicely appointed rooms and hosts that assist regularly. Since the change over Delano is a nicer choice than Thehotel with large suites no noise.

Now that being said we have found the last few trips at Aria to be a bit tight in the payout department, so back we go to MB in January. The same can be said for Wynncore. So this time we are going to stay at Encore but gamble at Venetian and Golden Nugget.

Btw We spent and afternoon at the GN on our July trip and played exclusively slots.....Just got an offer in the mail for NYE festivities for 3 nights, dinner, entertainment etc. I like the proximity to other casinos on Freemont. So if one isn't working for you the next might :)

Thanks Yukon!! I love Downtown at night but just didn't really feel it during the daytime. I have received offers from GG and might try one of the new suites? I usually play $10 tables 3x4x5x plus 64 across and my wife plays penny slots. Our combined bankroll for 3 nights is usually 6-8k. The fun part about downtown is the wife will play craps because she can play for $5 and a couple of numbers. I just didn't even think that my play would warrant anything at Wynn/Encore or Ven/Pal. MB is a very nice hotel but same end of the strip as I am already at.
