Someone enlighten me here, please. I have no clue what's going on. Perhaps the secrets are buried in a TR somewhere?

It seems Frank was somewhat 'dressed down' at the VMB meetup, so there is now a running joke (including his name) of him being a hobo.

501's and a T-shirt makes me a "hobo" it seems when dutchvelvet and B S showed up like they were waiting for Sinatra and the rat pack to show up

Hey frank..next time they tell you that you were dressed like a hobo, just tell them that you are wearing clothing from Kanye west's yeeezy line and that you spent over $1,000 on the outfit

That has been similar to my own experiences in many solo trips to Vegas. It's very easy meet and make friendships with other people there.

Almost all of my trips have been solo this year. I've had fun at all of them. As long as you get on the right table, it can be a blast. Everyone talking/laughing. Tired? take a nape. Hungry? get something to eat.

But, then you have to hang around bums sometimes. Ain't that right Frank? And, don't let the dress fool ya...he's always a bum. :wink2:

I typically take 1 solo trip a year... I could see where a slot player might find it lonely, but if you play tables, it's really quite easy to strike up conversations with other players.

I've done may solo trips. Never had problem.
If your purpose is to meet new people there, you may or may not succeed.
My purpose is to gamble and I have no trouble to accomplish that.
As Breeze said above, if you're solo, don't get drunk. For that reason, I don't drink in Vegas at all.

I always enjoy a few days alone before the troops come in and it gets crazy. I can lounge by the pool and do things on my own schedule and I always find a decent blackjack table to play at where the people are typically friendly.

Terrible advice! The solo drunk is an excellent drunk (so long as you can find your hotel room)!

I'm so glad someone posted about this. I just got back from my 10th trip to Vegas. Every time I've had friends/coworkers with me.
I am going back to Vegas in April, and I am purposely going solo this trip.

Not that my friends aren't great, I just want one time where things aren't organized, or by a plan. Also, I feel like I'll meet more people like this.

If you play craps as a solo traveler (like me) you'll be just fine!

    I have never went alone.
I think about it all the time. It is not the people in Vegas judging me that makes me second guess.

Its more about "will family and friends think I have a true gambling problem if I need to go to vegas alone.

I am 100% sure I could have a fun time in vegas by myself for up to a week and not get bored or lonely

    .

Life is too short to worry about what other people think!

For me as long as my husband is fine with me going ( he funds my bankroll lol) I don't care, I used to care what friends etc thought, now going on my 5th solo trip, I've realised I care MORE about my trips (me time in my favourite city) than whatever they will think!!
I can't wait for my next solo trip in Dec!
