Like many VMBers, I received a nice winter offer from Aria a while back. As I've only given Aria a few decent gambling sessions in the past few years, I was a bit surprised and pleased. However, when I called casino marketing - and later, the host who was referenced in the email - I received different answers to some questions I had about the offer.

    Casino marketing told me:
    (1) The "complimentary food and beverage" mentioned in the offer was $150/day
    (2) I'd be in a true 1BR Sky Suite - not one of the connecting "regular rooms"
    (3) They would not extend my offer by one night (I wanted to arrive a night earlier than the dates of the offer).

The host I spoke with told me:
    (1) The f/b was $250/day
    (2) He'd be happy to extend the offer a night to accommodate my plans
    (3) I'd be in one of the connecting rooms in the Sky Suites part of the hotel - not a true suite

While I enjoy nice suites, I'll be solo for this trip. So it was really a no-brainier for me to take the extra f&b and get the dates I wanted - I booked with the host.

So...finally to the gist of this post:rolleyes2:: has anyone successfully sweet-talked, bribed/tipped or simply paid a per-night upgrade fee to get into a better suite at Aria Sky Suites?

    Many thanks!

If it is booked by a host, I don't think you can upgrade without host approval. I always am in the 1BR, but being solo, I would be fine in a regular room in the sky suites. I really like the sky suites amenities. So, just enjoy the sky suites.

Thanks, MBJ. I assumed this was probably the case but I don't have much recent history with Mlif joints and hoped I was wrong. I'll be fine in a regular room - just hoped a reasonably priced upgrade might be doable.

Tell the host you want the 1br.

They often low ball you until you push.

    Thanks, shifter. I will.

Just reestablished my LOC this afternoon so that ought to give me a bit more credibility. Not that the line is anything remotely "impressive"...I just have almost zero recent history with Mlife so I figure it'll be better than being a completely unknown quantity as I assume I am now.

Wow that is a nice daily f&b for solo. Did they give you like ,,$400 resort credit as well?

Yep. Not really sure how I got the offer from Aria. I'm not a flea (though far from a High Roller), but most of my action lately has gone to Wynncore. I spent two days at Aria this spring and I must have hit the Beeejay Memorial Row 802 a little harder than I thought. Certainly not going to look a gift horse in the mouth though!

Anyone know if you can use resort credits or express comps for hookers?

If you can, let me know.....I may stray from Wynncore:wink2:

We've been getting some good MGM property offers too since we've been to the BR 3 times in the last year....still a Wynn fan though

Too bad we're not there at the same time, just missing each other by a few days...it'd be fun to finally meet up. I'm leaving the 23rd.

Yeah, we seem to miss each other by a few days/weeks quite often. One of these days...

You let me know what you think of the Encore updates and I'll let you know how successful I I'm in getting the hookers charged to my room!
