I just booked my parents to watch our minions so my wife and I can return to Vegas between Christmas and New Year's. Here's the short list of things I would like to do:
    1) Reconnect with my wife. She's working full-time and taking a full load of classes so we need some alone time to take "The Palazzo" to "The Venetian," if you get my drift! :wink2:
    2) Rock the new VMB wristband and maybe meet some of you great folks in person!
    3) Gamble! We did a "family Vegas trip" last time. The two or three of you who read that TR may remember that! :poke:
    4) Get around to actually using the MyVegas rewards I redeem. Just didn't get to the Shark Reef or MGM buffet last few times!
    5) Grow a pair and try some more table games.

That's it for now! Just beginning to look at hotels, but excited nonetheless!

cool! I'm in the mood to make lists, so mine is...

    1. Play poker. The last 2 trips I did not play poker, for fear a loss and my resulting bad mood would ruin everyone's trip.
    2. Loosen up. Somewhat relates to #1 item, shouldn't take poker losses too seriously, at least not when in Vegas.
    3. Try absinthe, see Absinthe. I guess these are 2 things but I want to do them the same night.
    4. Go to Frankie's Tiki Room again. Haven't been for some time, epic fail.
    5. Go downtown at night and try a new bar. Maybe the Griffin or who knows where.

Thanks. Trip isn't until January but it's nice to daydream...

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)

I'm 3 weeks away from my trip. [emoji3]

    1. Go see Carrot Top - I've planned to see him on my last 4 trips and never have

    2. Eat a lot of desserts - I've been eating healthy for months promising myself I can eat whatever I want in Vegas.

    3. Play more table games if the slots are tight.

    4. Eat at the restaurants at Wynn instead of being lazy and going to the buffet.

Cool list, carolineno! Your #5 gets me thinking I should get to DT for a night of my trip, too! Thanks for your response!

Have a great trip, Elf70! We're trying to cut down on buffets, but when we do go, I always hit the desserts first! Good way to "cleanse the palette!" Thanks for sharing!

Nice list! I wish I would've done #3 from your list when my bride and I tried the high roller. It would've helped with my fear of heights!

Good one, Hobofrank! Someone asked my Dad something similar at his 40th anniversary party--no reduced sentence for good behavior in his case, I guess!

UPDATE: After hours of searching online for what I thought was Vegas hotels, flights, etc. my beautiful bride turned to me last night and said, "Well I just booked us a cruise."

"Vegas is not accessible by cruise ship," I replied. She gave me a piercing, "No shit, Sherlock" glare.

And then from the sweet lips of the love of my life came the dreaded, awful words, "I'm sick of Vegas!" (I now know what it sounds like when the doves cry. (Now I understand, Prince!) )

So, folks...Please watch for more about my upcoming Christmas to New Year's voyage, but in the Non-Vegas Chat area instead!

I'm still shooting for numbers 1, 3, and 5 on the above list for sure. Number 2 would be awesome, but I realize highly unlikely. I'll be sporting my wristband nonetheless!

The good news is there will be gambling on the ship.
Hobo, don't make fun of my friend Leroy. :)

Going to the D on the 26th of Dec: Staying for 4 days. List of things to do:
    1) Rate the various sports books DT and find a favorite.
    2) Enjoy the late night Oxtail soup at the Cal and the sushi at the Nugget
    3) Find a happy level of intoxication that will allow me to live it up at "Gold Diggers" and perhaps some unfortunate dancing on Freemont St.
    4) Visit some of the smaller places for some slots like Mermaids and La Bayou (butchered that spelling)
    6) Walk a LOT completing as much of a strip casino tour in one day
Bonus: end that same day at the Lava Lounge at the Peppermill if we are allowed in at that point.

Oh man, that stinks RichardAlpert (LOVE the screen name, btw). But as you said, Happy Wife, Happy Life! Hope you enjoy the cruise and get to do lots of reconnecting, if you catch my drift.

My husband luckily does not have to worry about those dreaded words (sick of Vegas) crossing my lips any time soon!
