Hmmm, I think my Lions have to win a game, could they be a sleeper this week vs the Broncos?

I went 2-1-1 in week one, 3-1 last week and am just digging into the wk3 lines tonight. At first glance I see a tough slate to get a hold on...but I will dig in and see what I come up with.

As an aside...the Eagles looked as bad as I have EVER seen them. I cycled through The Five Stages of Grief watching that slopfest on Sunday.

    1. Denial - when they could not manage a first down in the first half aside from a penalty? No way they could be this bad, right?!

    2. Anger - when they came out in the 3rd and Demarco's first couple runs he had defenders right there taking the hand-off with him. Are you fucking kidding me?!

    3. Bargaining - when they decided to finally move the ball a bit and get down inside the five yard line. Please get this TD and everything will be ok. Please? OMG an interception right to Sean Lee?!

    4. Depression - when I realized that yeah, they had no shot to win this ballgame. Romo fumbles and we're in business baby! Oh wait...Kelce snapped the ball before anyone was ready and Dallas got it riiiiiiiiight back? ***drinks bleach***

    5. Acceptance - by the time The $68M Cornerback Nnamdi Maxwell gave up a TD I knew they were done. I sat there and laughed like an insane asylum patient and kept rooting for more penalties because I wanted to see the NFL record of 37 broken.

Eagles gonna have tough go against jets defense - although this is historically a spot where jets shit the bed

Yep. And I am a big Todd Bowles fan and LOVE what they did to build that defense. Too bad the Eagles have to play them.

Is there any value in the Bucs (v Texans) money line at 23/10? Or even +4.5 @ 23/20?

Seahawks appear to be huge favourites v Bears (spread is currently -14.5); not sure I fancy any of that action as Seahawks need a win, but 14.5 is quite a big margin.

I tend to stay away from double digit spreads. You'd think Seattle should win in a blowout. Home opener, desperately need a win, Jimmy Pickles at QB for Chicago... But I'm still hesitant to take Seattle

    Cards/49er's OVER
    Den/Det UNDER
Seattle, giving The Moon to the Bears
Atlanta, since Romo and Dez Bryant are out but not double digit points.
    Jets, good defense

The only sure thing this weekend is the BBQ Sausage and Meatball appetizers at Pizza Rock.

I'll be at Lambeau Monday Night to see in person, but I do NOT recommend Packers with a 6.5 spread. Letdown game for us, and Kansas City is a very solid team.

My initial takes are NY -4 over Washington, Carolina -3 over NO, and Detroit +3 against Denver.

I'm going to use the Pats and Seahawks moneyline bets in parlays with my other bets. For example, instead of just Jets -2.5, it would be a parlay SeaML-PatsML-Jets(-2.5). I'll decide my picks on Saturday but I do like the Jets and GB.

I really do not like any bets this week. I killed it last week with the pack and pats. but now the teams are starting to settle down into their spots and the lines have become more "fair" in my opinion. the first few weeks are usually a crap shoot for the odds makers IMO. ill sit tight until i see some juicy lines.. no need to bet just for the sake of my addiction :p

Any Lions fans watched the games? Haven't seen much footage of them? How does do the lines look? Why wasn't Abdullah used more in the second game?

I know the Broncos have lucked into 2 wins. I really don't like trusting the Lions though.

I am a lions fan and owning Abdullah in Fantasy was frustrating last week! I look to him to get ALOT more touches this week because passing 55 times last week almost got Stafford killed! That being said the lions are still the lions and blew a 20 something point lead in the first game and lost easily to the vikes from the get go. id still bet on the struggling broncos in that matchup.

Being an Eagle fan is tough sometimes...but I'm over it and ready to go this weekend! But if they lose someone please call the Philadelphia rescue services and let them know a dude in a Seth Joyner jersey just jumped off the Walt Whitman.
