Aria Fly and stay package.

Hi everyone! it's my first time posting! I've been on the forums for over a year now and have obtained valuable information thanks to you guys.
I'll be heading to vegas in april of 2016 for my own bachelor party. I have my own airline and will probably book myself a suite of some sort at Aria (favorite place).
My main concern is my guys. I have six of them, and I want to make this trip feasible for all of them.
I noticed on aria's website they have a fly and stay package. This includes the flights (spirit airlines) and 4 nights in a standard king or double queen room for roughly $1000.00 (roughly).
I just wanted to know if anyone has actually purchased this package before and if so, how did it go?
Once again, I will be making my own accommodations, as I'm also an MLife member unlike my group of friends.

Any tips, words of wisdom, anything will be appreciated!

Do your friends a huge favor, don't book them on Spirit Airline.

 

HAHA trust me! I don't want to. the stay and fly package does give you the option to use southwest. But like I said, I want to give them options.

 

I would also suggest looking at Southwest's vacation packages. They have tons of sales to go to Vegas throughout the year and the 2 times I stayed at Aria the cheapest way was doing the flight and hotel through SW Vacations.

 

Wow! those really are great prices. How do they get away with making them that cheap?

 

No idea but from my experiences Mlife trips are cheaper for us doing SW Vacation packages while CET has been cheaper booking directly through them and booking my flight through SW. I am a very small roller when it comes to gambling in their eyes as I primarily play poker with minimal slots.

If the group does SW Vacations make sure they all sign up for their points rewards program if they are not already registered prior to booking.

Because you are not booking directly with Aria you won't get any credits/comps while there on that specific trip. You will be able to pile up your points through their players card on the machines and such to help maybe on future trips.

 

That sounds good. I'm more of a low roller too. I may gamble a grand throughout the trip. So comps and stuff aren't the biggest deal for me.

 

I haven't booked the package but I do fly Spirit occasionally. As long as folks understand what it is and what it isn't I think it is worth considering in some situations.

Make sure the extra charges are understood. You only are allowed a small backpack for free - a standard carry-on is extra. They charge you to print your boarding pass at the airport so you have to do it from home (which is free). No free snacks, no free drinks. No free seat assignment ahead of time. I'm probably forgetting something.

I travel light and I can fly non-stop on Spirit. I'm usually meeting someone at the destination so I am travelling alone. Therefore I am not bothered about where I sit for a fairly short flight. The seats are a bit tight but I can handle it for that amount of time.

On the plus side I've had friendlier than average staff, new planes and on time flights with Spirit.

Bottom line: if you need to bring luggage of even a standard carry-on the fees might make it just as much as other options. Then I'd pass. I also probably wouldn't fly them more than two hours or fly them if the itinerary was not non-stop. Otherwise it works for me.

 

Plus Spirit baggage fees. $120 resort fee for each room... keep that in mind too. I'd need your exact dates and city you are coming from to tell you if it's a good deal.

I would look into Southwest Vacations, or just book individually just tell your friends, Book this flight, and this hotel deal.. Are you just trying to do this to make it easier?

$1000 is a good amount to gamble, plus the cost of your stay and dining and all that, that's a substantial amount of Mlife points. I don't gamble nearly that much and I'm getting offers for Aria $69 and $150 resort credit. While not free, it's making Aria affordable to me.

I am the only one who is an Mlife member, and receive some pretty decent rates for rooms too. After looking into the southwest vacations packages, I am going to get them all to individually order through that. It came out to 1000 if the person wants their own room, or 800 per person if people want to double up in a double queen room. I will leave that up to them. Now when it comes to me, I feel as though I'd like something a little more than the regular rooms, I'm thinking a panoramic corner suite that i'll book through Mlife. I have enough points to get there free on southwest, so I only have to pay for a return flight. and as you mentioned, they give you a aria resort credit too!

At first we thought it may be better to book all together, but I feel that they're all big boys and can handle this. I also wanted a bigger room/suite so that we could have atleast one meeting point in the hotel.

Yup, spirit airlines is the WORST. I am deliberately paying $50 more to fly SW for my Nov trip just to avoid them...

 

$1000 for 4 nights at Aria (assuming double booking) & SPIRIT air??!! Sounds like a horrid deal to me...Even at $250/nt for the room, that is $500 for air on Spirit??!!
Book separate--you will almost certainly find a better deal.

 

last year and this year my family used some travel agency to book their vegas trip.

last year they stayed at NYNY, $500 a person, included airfare on southwest, round trip shuttle to and from airport and 4 nights, there was several casinos to choose from and they sat on it too long before booking or they would have gotten caesars palace.

this year it was the same $500 package but they picked aria, 4 nights....not sure which type room though, they dont gamble much or big so getting the air/hotel/trans for $500 is a win for them

 

WOW! that's not bad at all!.

Just as an update, we have all decided to book through southwest vacations. 5 days, 4 nights, is 900 for guys wanting their own room, and about 700 for guys who are willing to split a double queen room. I ordered a corner suite for a little under 1400, so I am content with those prices. I honestly don't think I'm going to gamble enough to enjoy comps from the casino.
I hate talking about it because I'm ready to be there!
