Hey all. I'll be staying at PH here in about 2 weeks(woot). This is my first stay on the strip in a long time. I'll be taking a cab from the airport there. My question is this...is there a Walgreens/CVS on the way to PH? I know there's a Walgreens right beside PH, but it'd be nice to get some supplies before I check in so I don't have to remember later on.
That's one thing I'm going to miss about not being downtown. It's nice to be able to walk everywhere within about 5min.

The cab can make a stop at the plaza at Harmon and Paradise. There is a CVS there.

There is a Walgreens AT Planet Hollywood, isn't there? At Harmon and the strip?

EDIT: Oh, nm, you know about that one.

Yeah, I just don't want to check-in, go to my room, go to Walgreens, go back to my room, then go out. That's a lot of drinking/craps time. ;)

Why don't you leave you're luggage with the bellman, then hit Walgreens and get loaded up, then check in and then pick up your're luggage on the way to you're room? That's what i did in August and November of last year.

On Paradise near Tropicana there are a bunch of little shops including liquor store and convenience store. You can have the taxi just pull up and wait for you there while you go inside - they charge 50 cents per minute to wait, but if you know what you want it shouldn't be that long a wait and with the drop fee being around $3.50 thats 7 minutes versus paying for the cab there and letting him go and then calling a new taxi.

I know you said you don't want to check in, go to room, go to store, go back to room, then go to casino but I hate hauling all that stuff up to the room so what we do is check in, go up to room, empty out suitcase, take suitcase down to the store, buy our stuff, put it in suitcase and then wheel it up to the room - convenient if buying a flat of water, a big jug of water, case of beer and a few snacks than having to carry all that up to the room.

Yeah I'm mainly going to get Gateraid and Pedilight. Hopefully I can fit my snacks in my suitcase. I know they like to jack up the prices of everything. And, I don't want to walk through the casino because well it's a casino. "Just 1hand" 3 hours later.. "Oh crud". :)

Since you're toooooo lazy to walk around the corner to Walgreens, what about ABC in the Miracle Mile shops. There is one just outside of Earl of Sandwich.

i think ABC is a good solution.....you don't have to stock up for your whole stay. Just go and grab what you need.....it's practically in the casino!

I think I might do this. I just booked BellTransport shared limo, so hoping that goes well. But, I doubt they'd stop somewhere on the way. Especially if there's other people sharing the ride.

I think I'm going to do this. I just booked with BellTransport for a shared limo. Not sure if they'll stop on the way to the hotel, specially if I'm not the only one in it.
