We are staying at MSS and I would like to have our boarding passes in hand when we get to the airport. The last time we flew home from Vegas on SW the line to get a boarding pass was very long (dozens of people), the line for folks with boarding pass in hand just needing to check luggage was short (10 people). To make the situation worse our line had a couple of agents working and the other line had 6 or more. I was worried we would miss our flight.

I don't have a smart phone so the mobile pass is not an option.

I assume we are not talking about EB, just having a boarding pass. Enter the SWA terminal and lined up along the windows are kiosks where you can print out your boarding pass. Either swipe a charge card or enter your flight number. Just note that just a few of them don't work for SWA, but almost all do. Then just get in the line for people checking luggage, with boarding passes. Get up to kiosks #2 and scan your boarding pass. Enter the number of bags and they call you up to the counter.

We do it that way every trip because I like having the pass that fits in my shirt pocket.

Dang, I'm pretty sure I saw those kiosks while standing in line. The wording made me think you could only use the kiosk if you didn't have bags to check. Good to know, thanks Joe.

I have always flown SW, and never have a boarding pass when leaving Vegas. If you check in outside with your bags all you need is your drivers license, they will take your bags and print you a boarding pass. Don't go inside, check in outside.

I might regret saying this, but, if I can carry my bags another 100 feet and not feel obligated to tip I carry them in. Although, last time I was so worried about missing my flight I would have gladly tipped. (I'm a generous tipper btw.)

I will keep curbside check-in in mind.

(Time to go wash the car. We head to ATL in 11 hours!)

Does MSS have a business room? you could rent computer time... many hotels have an internet kiosk that you can go online, check in and print out boarding passes... it's like $5

Thanks harvey, as long as I don't miss a flight I'll be thankful (with time to spare, I'll be relaxed.)

BLMike, I'd like to know if MSS has that option. I'll ask about it this trip.

In Vegas 2-3 times a year. Never pre printed a boarding pass.

Travel a handful of other times a year - do not pre print a boarding pass.

In Vegas, there are "generic" kiosks for all airlines. Personally, have never seen a terrible line to check in at SW anyways. I suppose it happens.

To each his own. I will use the sky caps. The ones at SW will get you done faster than any other option. As long as it is a free service with optional tip, we should take advantage and tip for the service.

Just got home today on Southwest. Checked in at the curb, no line, got boarding pass there. Never been easier.

I always use curb side baggage check---get print out and proceed----for a dollar, best deal in town---quick and gone---

When checking out of your hotel, ask the front desk if they will print your boarding pass. Never been turned down at The Orleans or the Gold Coast, my regular haunts.

We fly home on the 5 pm flight. Never saw a line of more than 5 people on the curbside checkin for southwest. Tip a dollar a bag. Bang! Passes in hand and done.

I'm trying to remember what we did in Vegas last year, but I know the last couple of flights I've taken this year have not had a boarding pass, just used what they sent me on my phone. Is that just at some airports? Worked at security and everything.

There is never, never a need to print a SWA boarding pass. Those kiosks at the airport only take a few seconds and they are free for SWA.
