I pride myself as being the "linq" expert of the board, having stayed there three times (November 14, March 15, July 15).

Deluxe King is fairly small, you'll have your bed and a bathroom.

Luxury King is a little bigger. You should get a sitting area and your bathroom SHOULD have two parts to it, one room with a closet and sink and then the shower and toilet in a separate doored-off area.

As far as being closer to casino / strip, as long as you don't opt for the high-roller view, you should be fine. The Luxury and Deluxe rooms are scattered among each other throughout the hotel. High-Roller view is meh and the treck from the elevator is BRUTAL. I had one my first trip and asked to be moved second day to a normal roof view. They moved me no problem.

It'll be my 3rd time at the Linq in the last 4 months this week. I'll give you some advice. At the elevator bank go to the back where their is an extra elevator. I'll see 25 people waiting by the main elevators and their will only be 3-4 on the back side.

That elevator trick is a leftover from the Imperial Palace. Always made us feel like "insiders" bypassing all of the "tourists" to that back elevator.

We are staying there for the first time, as the Linq, on Friday night.

Following this thread because we'll be there soon-ish. Good to hear some info from people who have stayed there.

I really enjoyed my luxury two queens room with extra sitting area. The hotel is very cool and easy to get around. I was lucky to have a room just steps from the elevator!

My warning! I checked out on a Saturday morning. At 12:00 noon, we waited at both elevator banks for over 10 minutes. When an elevator did come, it was always full. We had all our luggage. By 12 or so minutes of intolerable waiting we decided to use the fire stairs. Luckily we were only on floor 5. But with all that luggage, if we were higher up that would have been maybe 15-20 minutes of waiting for an elevator. That's a ridiculous problem, although I'm not quite sure how it can be fixed at present

So that may be the only room I haven't stayed in. I've been in a normal room, a mini suite and a regular suite. From what I've heard, the rooms are on the smaller side but obviously the perk of the room is that's it's connected to the pool. If the pool is your scene and your not looking for a huge room (and you don't mind the high cost) it sounds like a good time

This is so true. And there is a huge sign that says "additional elevators". I was baffled at how nobody else figured this out.

I will say the slow elevators are the one negative about the linq. Going down from your floor, it's always about a 3-5 minute wait.

They were significantly worse before though, imo. We didn't use the "secret" bank much this past weekend.

I was hoping for some info on the cabana room as well. Was looking at my comp rooms the other day and that one is on there. It would be Oct. though. How is the weather end of Oct?. Would be something different for me if I did stay in one. Thanks for any info.

Most pools close mid-ish October I believe. I also have comp cabana rooms for the fall / winter months. Without pool access, I'd probably instead suggest one of the luxury rooms. The cabana rooms are the same size as the normal rooms which are only 300 square feet. I'm not even 100% sure you'd be able to use your "cabana" if the pool was closed, not sure the rules on that

Cabana rooms are very small. Last week I had a king suite and my friends had the cabana room. We spent most of our pool time at the flamingo pool so the cabana room was not really worth it ( the Linq pool was kind of dead). I prefer the suite to the cabana room.

I'll be at The Linq in 10 days. First Vegas trip. We have the Deluxe King room with strip view.

That is the room I was just looking for info for. Was wondering how the strip view is? Going to try something new in October. Can you take some pics please and of the view? Thank you!

We stayed in a luxury king room at the end of June. It was pretty decent - large main area and decent size bathroom. Our window was very small, however I asked for a room away from the Carnival Court, which the nice front desk staff worked on for about 10 minutes to accommodate.

We were on the 19th floor at the end of a hallway and had no issues with the elevators/proximity to the strip. We did utilize the rear bank of elevators at all times - we had no more than 2 or 3 people with us at any one time.

We also got a day bed at the pool. We had a good time, a very diverse crowd. And randomly a reality show came in and filmed using the two day beds next to us. Random.

All in all a good experience at the Linq, would not hesitate to return (except for December, when I'm booked at Ballys).
