Deep breaths. Relax. I flew Spirit to the Bahamas for $120 round trip out of New York. No complaints.

I've flown many times between Vegas and Minnesota. Had a 45 minute delay once. My parents have flown here to visit many times from MN. Never a problem. Seems when something bad happens to someone they are quick to get online and write a negative review every possible place on social media, very seldom do people do that with positive reviews. I'm not saying Spirit is perfect and they don't have problems...but for my use its hard to pass up sub $100 round trips. Have fun!

Most problems I have had with Sir Pit have been on the return leg of the trip. Appears you are in the air, so far, so good.

Remember Jim, if you head downtown, at the d casino you get 50 matchplay (2 $25s) if you show your spirit boarding pass within 24 hours of arriving.

We just got the occasional report of airline performance yesterday and Spirit got totally skewered! Lotsa cancelled, long delays, tarmac waits, etc.

I don't fly them regularly (two flights in last year, IIRC), but whenever I did I don't remember any major issues ever. Last flight I did remember to check if the seat reclined and it did, well, maybe a few inches.

Southwest had some derogs in the baggage handling area.

Flight arrived early with no problems. Plane was half full. Out was great. Had about 18 empty seats around us. Seats on our plane don't recline. The latest and greatest to cram more people on the plane.

I don't think I've ever seen a Spirit flight that was not mostly full! LOL, I'm surprised they did not cancel it!

Are you sure you flew Spirit Airlines and are you sure you flew to the Bahamas because according to there website they dont fly to the Bahamas

They cant cancell it because they have to take it to its next destination to pick up passengers, most of there cancellations would be for mechanical reasons.

Hey Jim. Im flying to Vegas on Spirit in November and staying Downtown. Could you confirm the D still gives the $50 matchplay with a Spirit boarding pass?

    Thanks! Have a great trip!

You might think you like it, but they don't recline because they put them closer together, so kind of a mixed blessing.

Sorry for the late response. Foos is right. You need to present the boarding pass within 24 hours of your arrival. We stayed at The D one night. Not sure if you have to be a guest or not. You get two $25 match play chips. I was with my wife so we had a total of $100 of our own money at risk. We went to the roulette wheel and used our first $25. My wife played red and I played even. First spin 32 red comes in. Nice. Second $25 we stay with red even. 10 black comes in. We split but still come out ahead. Total profit $125.

So how does this work you put up $25 of your own money along with there $25 match play and if you win they give you $75 or $100?
