I mentioned this in my trip report but didn't have the numbers at the time. Redwood has updated their online menu and it seems every entree went up $2. OK, it happens. But the real shocker is the split, king crab legs. It used to be 1.5 lbs for $40.

The new price is 1 lb for $44! A 10% price increase and a 33% reduction in food. I know we are comped, but that still seems like quite a jump.

So one of my bartender "buddies" at the Hard Rock's girlfriend works at the Redwood and he's always raving about the place, so earlier this month I went there with a client and had a REALLY good piece of Prime Rib. Service was fantastic as was both our meals. I don't know about the price, but sure would recommend this place to anyone... even though I had to go downtown!

It is our favorite downtown restaurant. Did you have a special one day visa to get into downtown? :wink2:

I kinda figured they would reduce the lbs. but thought they would keep the price the SAME! But they raised the price also? Wow.

I still like the place, though. Would be nice if I could get comped there. My brother-in-law thinks I can get comped there based on my play but I have to ask.

As long as you get Hillario you will be fine. Best waiter in town he has our drinks ready before we sit down.
In probably 30 or more times eating here we have had 1 yes ONE bad complaint. And it was my wife being picky. HA

Besides 32 dollars for a 10 ounce filet mignon is a steal.
